While I agree after doing some testing that your proposed loadout is strong in pve, the purpose of combining aspects of Steel Haze and Ortus is to maintain both of their fundamental principles: they're both extremely mobile ACs that have hard-hitting weapons, but due to Ortus' weaponry being suited for 1v1 fights as opposed to Steel Haze's "jack of all trades" approach I chose to give the latter's loadout to the former without changing any internals aside from the Terminal Armor to Steel Haze's Assault Armor. That being said, your build idea is pretty fun!

Ortus and Steel Haze are both phenomenal ACs in their own right, the former for its heroic gundam-like appearance and the latter for its arsenal. Wish vanilla Ortus' loadout packed more of a punch

I personally enjoy the Sampu in the right hand because of the faster ammo consumption, Ransetsu-RF feels a tad too slow for me to have it in the right hand. I did consider changing the booster for the alula but figured that'd go kinda against the whole idea of "keep the same AC frame, give it the original's offensive weaponry". Thanks for watching!!!

Thank you! I had a lot of fun with this build, and I do enjoy getting right up into the enemy's face right before the stagger kicks in so I can slice 'em up with the laser twinblade :]

I've seen quite a few mods for Armored Core 6 but I'd like to avoid modded content unless I run out of ideas. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

I definitely fall into the category of folks that don't use the laser twinblade responsibly, always end up getting greedy at the worst possible moment. But when the greed pulls off, it's a wonderful sight, seeing blue beams tearing into metal. Balteus and Enforcer were my favorite fights from this video, it was a blast fighting them :D

I play on mouse and keyboard, but I'd like to eventually learn how to play games with a controller. Just feels a little more natural to me to use a keyboard and a mouse, yknow?

@@thePontiffsSnickerdoodles I've always been a console gamer until I ditched em for PC, but I'll still always use a controller. I can't give up force-feedack (especially in a mech game lol.) The only things I know are integral with kb/m are shooters, because mouse aiming is far easier and accurate. But yeah man, alot of people whine about kb/m being inferior in AC, so props for proving that wrong.

@@mr.voidout4739 Mouse and keyboard have been the only thing I've ever really known when it comes to games, so I guess I developed that FromSoftware mentality of "git gud". I'm certain there's a lot of other folks out there on mouse and keyboard that play Armored Core 6 and can pull off a lot more stylish stuff than me, but thank you for the compliment!!!

I think the main thing holding down Ortus is the frame itself. It looks damn cool, but it could've been designed to further maximize the power of its weapons.

Og Steel Haze is absolutely better than Og Steel Haze Ortus. The loadout and internals just compliment the design so well, but for the sake of the video i kept modifications to Ortus limited to replacing the weapons and switching from terminal armor to assault armor

@@zephyrabysstrinity Still no clue what the specialization stats do. I see them for firearms and melee on arms, along with an energy weapon specialization for engines.

@@jimboanimations4041 There's a few aspects. Better accuracy in lock-on, less recoil, better missile tracking, further ricochet distance, faster recharge times, quicker staggers, and higher direct hit damage. It may be small buffs, but it all adds up.

If you're a fan of the full Alba frame, go ahead and give the Steel Haze loadout an honest try! Make whatever additional modifications you deem necessary to make it an AC that works for you :]

@@albertloska6048 Ah, fair enough! In Armored Core 6, there are mechs that have predetermined loadouts that you can encounter in missions, as well as use yourself after unlocking them in a simulated fight. Steel Haze Ortus, the mech I used in this video, has a decent loadout for 1v1 fights, but is rather lacking for longer missions or fights with multiple enemies. Steel Haze has a great loadout for bosses and 1v1 fights, so I swapped Ortus' weapons with Steel Haze's. Hope that clears things up!

@@albertloska6048 Ortus is also a mech the character Rusty upgrades to after he is defeated in his orignal Steel Haze, but Ortus's 4 weapons are worse.

Thank you! I recorded a few missions that feature dialogue from Rusty, Arquebus, Snail and Walter, and rearranged them in a way that feels coherent and fits given the context. I had a blast with Rusty's lines specifically since his voice actor Chris Hackney just NAILS it :]

I like to think with a bit of Project Aces touch right here with Rusty calling you “buddy” it’s nostalgic to say the least. It would’ve been even more ironic if the VA was Yuri Lowenthal. That would’ve hit all the places at once.

I did think about having a section where Rusty flies in and destroys the ramjet engines, but I decided to cut it since the video was getting a little long and I didn't quite know how to make it flow smoothly

As cool as Steel Haze Ortus looks, the internals aren't the best. The viento pistol and laser twinblade are nice, but they need something more to spice it up

@@thePontiffsSnickerdoodles The P04 is actually an INCREDIBLY good booster. The generator is fine, but the FCS is as good as it could be with making sense in the story. So really, the only bad thing is the generator, but I'm not sure what other one would've been better while still fitting the story.

If you put the weapons of steel haze in SH ortus the build becomes very better, so maybe are the weapons

Biggest inspiration for this build definitely comes from a fellow creator named DerangedDroidGamer. Watching him beat the snot outta Ibis with his Hyaku Shiki build is what finally got me into practicing with a variety of builds including this one. Also it's just fun to pepper enemies with energy shots and delete their health with the twinblade-harris combo >:]

In the previous level, Ayre tasks us with destroying the four skyrmium generators powering a large portion of the ship. those getting destroyed, along with the ramjet engines, is enough to kill any further propulsion for the xylem.

Frame's made up of ALBA head, chest and arms, as well as the VP-422 legs. Weapons are the Viento pistol and Wueger energy shotgun on the right arm and shoulder, and a pulse blade and laser blade on the left arm and shoulder. Internals are Alula boosters, IB-CO3F:WLT 001 for the FCS, and the VP-20C generator with assault armor as the core expansion. At the very end you'll see the full loadout, but hopefully this comment helps!!!
