Photojournalist Covering Breaking News in Southern California
MOTORCYCLE RIDER HOSPITALIZED FOLLOWING COLLISION WITH SUV IN AGOURA HILLS
A traffic collision between a white SUV and a motorcycle led to road closures and one individual transported to the hospital this evening. The accident occurred at the intersection of Kanan Rd and Agoura Rd in Agoura Hills at approximately 8:15 pm.
@lacountyfd and @lasd_lhs swiftly responded to the scene. Upon arrival, emergency units found a single motorcycle rider lying in the intersection with moderate injuries.
The rider, whose identity has not been disclosed, was immediately transported to Los Robles Medical Center. The extent of their injuries and current condition remain unknown at this time.
Traffic conditions were impacted as emergency crews worked diligently at the scene. Northbound traffic on Kanan Rd was reduced to a single lane, causing delays. Westbound traffic on Agoura Rd experienced a complete shutdown for approximately 45 minutes.
The driver of the white SUV involved in the collision stayed at the scene and is currently cooperating with authorities. It remains unclear what led to the accident.

What a shame if they lied on the report. Though the driver could also be in denial. No one would want to accept they caused such an accident and took someones life. I just hope they recover ok and that the family is able to cover the funeral costs and mourn properly in these hard times.
@@Dane3804 thank you, and I know it's on them if it's wrong. I was talking to him just a few short hours before this and I believe what I'm hearing about him. It's a terrible day for 2 families. Im just praying he makes it through surgery and to the next step, no matter what that is.

That's right you idiots. Climb on a TILE roof and destroy it to vent the attic which is already venting from the Gable End VENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those are your heroes' folks! Any idea how many thousands of dollars that will cost to fix? They accomplished NOTHING by going up there. All they had to do is open small holes in the ceilings to check for fire and put a little water on it. Look at what they did to that roof JUST, because they can get away with it. The entire roof 2will need to be replaced because it will never blend in. STUPID!!!!! That Chief needs to be fired immediately!

Even if it did, a stream from the ground would get hardly any water on all the burning material that was hidden by the roof. This was an interior, through the ceiling attack for any attic extension.

Use of the deck gun isn’t commonly seen. Can someone with experience explain why or was used there?
Especially the early use. With the water supply connected later I understand a little bit more.
If this fire was isolated in the attic and not the living space, its best to leave the interior ceiling in tact and get water into the attic space to create steam conversion to suppress or keep the fire in check until additional resources arrive at scene. The deck gun stream was being directed into the small attic vents in the front gable areas of the residence to accomplish this from what I see to get further reach into the attic space. Look up Isolated Attic Fires by the Phoenix Fire Department for a great description.
