Cool catch, Noah! I saw a similar power lead on CPKC 231 out of London today (CP-BNSF); but didn't catch the road numbers - I was too far away.

Full disclosure, I don't know everything about the history of these locomotives. I thought the F59PH locomotives were built specifically for GO transit. So did these get sold to California Metrolink at some point and now they are being bought back?

I hope they get repainted in the same go transit new paint scheme as the MP54s with a new exhaust detail area an emissions control system a separate CAT HEP EM 2000 electronics and tier 4 modifications. If not, why wouldn’t they?

I Caught CN M396 With CN 8952 Leading At Ash Today. Did You See CN 8952 Today?

Honestly I prefer the look & design of the old lead cab car over the current one with the arched front. The arched front looks ugly imo. It's a good thing West Coast Express in Vancouver still has these old lead cab cars instead of the current arched front lead cab cars like GO Transit. It just looks better. The lead engine car for both GO Transit & West Coast Express have the arched front & they look ok but personally I always prefer the old lead cab car as it blends with the rest of the trainset
