Gardening has always been relaxing and an outlet for me. I am always thrilled to see the fruits of my labor of growing things from seed or planting a plant into the ground and enjoying my harvest later, from garden to table.
This last year I also started to learn how to can, so I am even more excited about my garden this year and how my efforts will be not only enjoyed for fresh eating but in preservation for my family as well.
I cannot wait to expand my skills in gardening and canning as the years progress.
Come along with me as we experimenting and try out new techniques to see what works to have the best growing season for your garden. We will learn together. We may even have to try again on a few things but I cannot wait to tackle these next skills and see what we are able to do.

It’s strawberry time and I had bought a lot of strawberries. I found this recipe and it is delicious. The recipe gave a tip on how to adapt to using self-rising flour, in this video I wanted to experiment to see how it would go using self-rising flour and it came out perfect.

I usually grow using the dwc method. Have you ever heard of that? The only thing is, I add air stones with an air pump to pump oxygen straight into aerate the water. The plants grow so vigorously and fast too. ❤

What does self wicking mean?
I think it's a way to water them without having to actually water them lol.
It waters itself from the bottom up. I am working on my video showing how I did it. You take the hose and water into the PVC pipe and fill until the water comes out of the side of the hole that's drilled on the side. Dont have to water as much or worrying about over watering. It's the first time I've done this so it's intriguing

You should try this self wicking it waters itself and you just have to fill the bucket til the water comes out the side lol. Working on my video of how I made them

I have several different techniques (which are by seed) going but in these self wicking buckets currently blueberries, boysenberries, gooseberries (never had before), honeyberries (never had before), lemon cucumbers (never had before), banana peppers, Tabasco peppers, buttercrunch lettuce, and a few empty til I decide what I'm gonna put in there. The actual plants I did not start from seed. But the lemon cucumbers are seed for now
