thanks for the video! I have a question… my supercube seems to be loosing connection on one side (red center). It worked fine for like a day or two when it arrived. But then… The simple reset on app doesn’t work. Every time I scramble it according to app no matter what speed it looses connection in the midway of process. Maybe someone has an idea how to fix it? I’m afraid to dissemble it by myself cos i might break it 😅. Got my money back for it but still what a pity 😢

How did you manage to reattach the ribbon cable? I can't for the life of me manage to reconnect it. Maybe I don't have the knack and never will.

Thank you for the detailed video. After couple years of use, my mouse started draining batteries within few days. I had a new one, unfortunately when open the box the batteries leaked damaging the dongle transceiver. Since the dongle transceiver of my old mouse is working, I am considering removing the antenna and replaced it to the new one to see if that helps; nevertheless, I do not know what part is the antenna. Could you please let me know which part serves as the antenna receiver?" Thanks

How difficult do you think it would be to coat a store-bought S-carabiner in a sort of rubberized finish on your own? I imagine the most difficult part would be keeping the holes completely clear of any of the rubber filling. Trying to get a rubberized s-carabiner in order to completely deaden the sound profile it has when moving and hitting against things for my personal usage.

Very well done! The new design Arc mouse came with my second-hand Surface Pro 4, and it honestly took me a frustrating few minutes of trying to move the mouse around in its 'flat-state' before I stumbled upon its flexing feature. GENIUS! And the new touch pad is equally exceptional. If anyone does this themselves, absolutely use double-stick tape to retain your screws/components in an organized manner for re-assembly, andy possibly a big 'cookie sheet pan' with a rim to contain the tee-niney screws and parts when they come apart. Kudos again Mr. Teardown, well done and sensibly presented! Thanks!!!

This is fantastic. I've repaired lots of old rangefinder cameras, but I'm always worried about fragile plastic parts on cameras like this. I have exactly the same issue on my Instax 7, in that the exposure dial no longer clicks into position. Is there a shortcut to that particular repair without a complete disassembly? Thanks.

Hi, when I charge the headphones they only last me 45 minutes. I have cleaned the pins and they still won't charge for more than that time. I bought a new case thinking that was the problem but they still lasted the same. D.o you know what the problem is?. Thanks

My Jabra 65t's plastic snap did break off like he said so I had to put a rubber band to keep it from opening. My son has a noncharging 65t case which thankfully he has not thrown out yet and is no longer using so he gave it to me. I just swapped the internal components from my case to his by following this tear down and now I have a working, closing case. Thanks, man!

Hey man, my airpods was in the case and in my pants and I make mistake by washing them in washing machine. So after that I tried them and they worked but case don't want to charge anymore. When I plug usb in them they start to blink red but not charging. Is that repearble or should I buy new one? Thanks in advance

Hello! Do you have any advice on fixing the camera shutter? One side of mine was dislodged (wouldn't open or shut, but it was rattling around). I've taken the front off to find one of the tiny prongs has broken (visible at 2:05 in your video) - would this be fixable by gluing the prong back onto the shutter and putting back into place?

As to why there are slots, my theory is this was done to allow some deflection to follow the contour of your hand with the center of your palm being higher than the sides. Also, the top slotted plate (the one with lots of slots) rides over the horizontal bronze spline, so my theory is the extra slots reduce friction as well as extra flexibility over the spline which (in the off-state) is slightly higher than in the on state. Really--this is an impressive ergonomic design! The bronze spine is used for friction like you said, plus its lack of magnetism; some stainless steels do have slight magnetic attraction, so the extra separation at the bottom over the magnets helps with that.

Thank you for this teardown! I've had this mouse for quite a few years now when I bought my Surface 2 Pro. Yesterday I found that batteries had leaked in it and I wanted to open it up to clean the board. I pulled the sticker off of it thinking there would be screws in there but didn't pull the sticker off enough and thought that maybe it had been glued together. Thank you! You kept me from breaking this thing trying to get it open. Great teardown!

the biggest disadventage of this mouse is big energy consuption. Battery lasts no more than a month, when the cheapest products work a few months on one battery.

Came across this video when my left earbud stopped charging and working all together. Turns out the magnet in the case for the left earbud just fell out of place. Extremely easy to fix after watching this video and just wanted to send a thank you for saving me from buying a new pair of earbuds.
