5 Minutes for the Next 50 Years - Mathhew McConaughey Motivational Speech
This isn't a speech. Like a symphony a speech has its major themes and its leitmotifs. It has changes of mood and tempo, but all placed with a coherent framework. This is McConaughey reading out his bumper sticker collection.
What A LOAD of crap!😂🎉
Nobody has broken the internet. Stop it.
Great video.
Music is too loud to hear hom!!!
Amazing..... So true......
The music is too dramatic and loud. It's the message that should matter.
i am in my last few years as a teen this mean s a lot to me
That is very solid advice! The process of elimination. Start with who you are not.
Did Hans Zimmer do the music ? 😂 Great speech
Don't believe we're a victim? Fine, but do not ever believe, and do not ever preach that we are not! NO ONE is not a victim. We come here to take advantage of every breath and swallow, and it will be our turn many times. Our conception through birth is only the first!
Great video. You just need to mix the bed music lower - it's competing with the words.
Great speech! Interesting video... Here's what I saw: Men (total): 52 - athletes: 18 (=35% of men shown) - business context: 16 (= 31% of men shown) - social context (friends / family): 16 (= 31% of men shown) - beggars: 2 (= 4% of men shown) Women (total): 23 (--> displayed less than half as often as men) - athletes: 3 (=13% of women shown) - business context: 1 (=4% of women shown) - social context (friends / family): 17 (=74% of women shown) - meditating / just smiling: 2 (=9% of women shown) Children: 9 I DO NOT suggest that the creator of the video was being intentionally sexist. I do think it nicely illustrates the roles of women & men we have somehow internalized as a society :) I was pleasantly surprised that men were displayed in a social context almost a third of the time.
Matthew McConaughey’s approach to crafting one’s identity is inspiring-he reminds us that we’re each the architect of our own journey, building a life that aligns with our values. His wisdom on owning mistakes, focusing on personal definitions of success, and cutting out what doesn’t serve us is the kind of guidance that grounds us in authenticity.
Music is too loud and distracting for those of us with ADHD. Come on......
Good words. Great words. A lot of truth and value in those words. So, not to dicount those brilliant and kind words but I can't help but wonder if it is easier to wax philophical and easier to explore your soul when you have the cushion and safety of ridiculous wealth? Just a question; no an accusation brother. I struggle with who I want to be or wish I was and I've tried to be those things, but also as I've aged I've realised I am simply just NOT those things I wish I was and I never will be. I'm riddled with regret and guilt and loss, and sometimes jealously and while I recognize I shouldn't dwell on that; I also recognize more and more as I get older that you are who you are and struggling to change your core is futile and exhausting. I do know that I am NOT a bad person. I beleive I am good person, with tons (too much sometimes) empathy and I find it difficult to understand how bad people can rationalize their bad behavior. Nevertheless, I have endless guilt that I am not a good enough person and I don't do enough to help others. I am wiser than I was yesterday but not as wise as I will be tomorrow. I think most of us want to be better people and we want to help others. Take care of eachother, be well, and bless you all. It's all going to be alright, alright, alright.
Such an inspirational video. Hits home
This one hit on a whole other level just wow!!! Made me cry but in a good way
Music extremely too loud
i wish the background music was just a little louder
ANEN!!!
I am Peter. I was Kiichi. I pursued my better answer to spiritualism. Never let anybody think spiritualism and religion are mutually exclusive to each other. Words may appear confusing to people and my diary may appear grammatically errored in retrospect, but if these words still appear coherent to you, then I want you to know that you are you. You do you.
Coming from a person who isn't an attic. It's a completely different narrative and expectations.
Happiness is what we make it- Always has been and always will be!
Tried the live casino games on 4rabet yet got into them after a friend's tip and it’s just like being there
Nothing against the sentiment of the speech / lecture but the soundtrack and visuals seem to be vying for centre stage. I had to switch off which is a shame.
This guy, a living work of art that evidently shows how capitalism has failed humanity.
fixmyproperty AI fixes this. Y plumbing video sealing rings
Eliminate your options. Means focus on just one thing.
Puke!
The corny music and scenario pictures really take away from his message. He's enough.
Awesome advice 🎉
I want to be heavenly.
It's a pretty easy for a White Guy to say "you are not a victim" in a country in which the Jim Crow Era only ended about 60 years ago. The United States committed 400 years of slavery, racial lynching, and decades of system racial discrimination, not to mention the stolen land of Native Americans....and yet privileged White Guys like to say that there are no victims while their family and their ancestors directly benefited from centuries of institutionalized discrimination and atrocities.
Wow! Definitely worth far more than the 5 minutes of my life it took to listen. Thank you Matthew! More than very inspiring. Definitely worth liiving by.
Well of course he's not gonna care when he has so much of it.

Life is easy if you set your goals low, or have no goals at all. That was me, before I knew me. I became a victim not in a physical sense, but in psychological sense. I was demoralize by the inexcusable decision by a school principal or in a larger picture by the churches new rules, that frankly left me out in the Cold, literally. I believe I was 10 years old, and schooling became the enemy. No one was going to teach me anything. The next 6-7 years in school were really easy, little homework, and low grades became the norm for most of those years. Long story short, My parents had serious issues to deal with in their lives. And as a result they a pretty much off hand approach in parenting their fifth child, me. In the end it worked out well for me as I became interested in a sport, and set a "goal" at 15 to be the best at it, and IMHO succeed at the 16 age level. I didn't get a fare shot at proving it, but that's another long story. I wasn't a major sport outside of New England, so not really a big deal, except to me. At 16 I was allowed to join the men's semi-professinal travelling bowling team. Bowling with and against the State and "world", (small world) Champions that I watched on TV for years. The "KEY" here is the mentorship of great men, not just great bowlers. To have a mutile State Champian and the City Fire Cheef pick me up and travel up to 140 miles round trip was looking back, surreal
Find your identity in Jesus Christ! The only way to live a blessed & fruitful life.
Yes!!!!
@Life Advice: Is it possible to spell Matthew the right way in the title?
If platitudes could kill
This is pretty good I don't know about "internet breaking" though
Self Promo !!!! www.youtube.com/@BeastModeStrategies
This is a great speech but sometimes I think these videos are directed at childless people. I don't want to clean up after my kids, but I have to; I don't want to have to do laundry every. single. day but I pretty much have to. The drudgery of housework is the fly in the ointment of this speech and largely it falls on mothers, daughters, wives. But it is a good speech, everyone should keep searching within themselves for truth, and try and make that happen, even if you have to start with tiny windows of opportunity in between putting the bloody clothes away and cleaning the bathroom!
yeah this speech has a lot of very, very dark implications. there's no mention of duty, loyalty, kindness - any virtues. just self interest.
wow. third eye opened.
It's hysterical to think that some person can read a script and it's somehow presented as profound life advice. Could be McConaughey, could be Morgan Freeman, could be James Earl Jones, wouldn't matter. People just eat this sh*t up. Here's some life advice... Turn off the computer and go do something right now that will improve your life. Take a walk, read a book, hit the gym, clean the house... nobody accomplished anything in life sitting around watching motivational videos. YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. Ever notice the guy who never 'catches a break' is the same guy who sits on the couch all day and does NOTHING? You have to put yourself out there. Once you do that, doors will open. The universe will respond. You get out what you put in.
Good advice except for the last. I was under the impression God is the author of my life.
This is a great mindset for financial success, but an absolute disaster for family or relationship success. The business names he championed all have terrible family lives. The life of financial success comes at the cost of your relationships, especially family.
This is an AI video!
The music is sooooo distracting!
