Come watch an old guy fail and break stuff but stay determined to figure it out.
Applying Lipstick to Terry's Bed.
I just had to find more chrome for Terry. I'm hoping the saying is true: "chrome will get you home".

Will Steve finally fix this stubborn tailgate? Will he do it without causing more work for himself? Will he create a new invention to fix an issue he caused? Stay tuned for more frustration and excitement. Who knew a simple beat up tailgate could cause so much pain. Bonus: stay to the end for the "how to fix a tailgate" summary.

Can Steve somehow manage to complete the simple task of straightening a 45 year old tailgate? There's a lot of head scratching, thinking, and violence in this video.
Terry's Tailgate Troubles ...

Watch Steve 'attempt' to fix that crooked tailgate. This tailgate doesn't close and it's because one corner is bent and latches before the other side. Steve doesn't have the proper equipment so he uses his noggin to try to make it 'better'. Spoiler: this will be a multi-part series. You'll have to watch to see why.

Let's check out this new/old Ford F250 Supercab and start making the very long list of fixes: Fix tailgate, paint rust spots, fix mirror, ... Highlights: see an old guy fit in the back seat. learn how to fold a supercab bench seat, see a 46 year old engine purr like a sick kitten.

Follow me as I 'attempt' to purchase and haul home my new/old 1977 Ford F250 Supercab (Trailer Special). Watch to the end because it's failure after failure, for your enjoyment. There might be danger, suspense, and victory all in the same video.
I FOUND IT!

I've been looking for a truck to revive for a long time. I found one right around the corner and I'm going to look at it. Let's go check it out.

Welcome to the randomness and chaos of my channel. This is not a how-to channel, it's just an old guy working on cars for therapy and hopefully entertainment.
It'll be fine ... I'm not so sure.

I guess I'm going to swap the engine in the Prius. Wish me luck.
nice tires
Great job! I don't think they're going anywhere now
Have you ever thought about powder coating the wheels?
Maybe some day. There are a bunch of mechanical priorities ahead of doing that.
It's probably best if you don't have any more ideas. Lol😅
I’m pretty sure you’re right I have a 77 vette and no cup holders 😮 😂
We should just throw a couple brand new rolls of duct tape down there and they would hold our coffee cups perfect😂 in our roofing trucks
That's why chugging was invented 😂
I used to use my hoodie n roll it on the chair n my drink never tipped over
nice
I keep a cold drink between my legs because my old car doesn't have cup holders or AC.
I just would hold my beer 🍺
my 79 Bronco had the center console with the most shallow cupholders i have ever seen, im assuming the cupholders were just meant to hold the cup while you were sitting there and not driving lol
Clean your eyes
Sorry. Just dropped my fuel tank. Must be rust in my eyes.
Roll of duct tape works pretty well
your work boots even better. Holds the cup higher up and doesn’t fall down when you fling a turn or slam the brake pedal
😂💪🏾
So proud of you Steve! Im glad you showed that you forgot to connect the second rod. Something I would have done. Nice work.
Let's go Terry!!
congrats, the journey of the tailgate saga is oddly interesting. i would have been into the back side of it splitting it open and doing that. i shake too much to ever be able to fumble with bolts like that. good work
congrats man, you are now going to be chasing that high you felt at 47:50 forever
no stick shift, Terry is definitely a lady :D
dang i was thinking the wood block was going to work.
oh man, at the 11 min mark i was sure this video was going to end a different way with a trip to hospital. glad it worked out kinda
There's only two pedals and no stick, it's DEF a girl. haha. Oh and I'm sub number 69 - seems fitting LOL
Awesome truck. Love that model, its got my favourite grill stile. Wish we had them here in Europe as well.
This guy gets it. Thanks for being honest on why we work on things. God bless you and yours
Nice find. I am working on getting a 1972 F250 from a buddy of mine.
I do love that body style, especially with the extended cab.
TERRY
If you would of put a block under the back of the trailer between the ramps would of not let trailer go down picking up the rear of the truck could of loaded it the first spot been there done it good video regardless
Good ole truck. We had one of these on the farm and took us camping and pulled stumps 😂...its a great truck...the only thing you wont like is how thirsty it is. Take off all the smog reduction crap and always keep some gas in the 2nd tank. Trust me on that 😊
Its a cool truck. My favourite model from Ford pickup trucks, I just love that grill stile. Too bad we never got them here in Europe. As for parts, and original steering wheel 🤔perhaps a visit to a junkyard for original less expensive parts might be a good idea. I agree with you about the truck plans. It doesn't need to be super shiny or anything like that. Just a good, solid every day truck thats cool.
I want a 60' s International travellall or pickup . 😊 ♥️ Mine ua-cam.com/video/5uqwl2h13qQ/v-deo.htmlsi=RLdVYhf16GjdbIaM
Nice to see some "Arkanson" youtubers! Batesville here.
That trailer special badge is a hard to find piece. Pretty rare truck . Good luck. You may want to consider getting another truck for parts. Those mag wheels are not easy to locate either, and pricey when you do.
As a minimum, lower door skins, cab corners, box repair panels over wheels and back corners, probably some of those areas need inner repairs too, BIG project, hope you got deep pockets.
My pockets are pretty shallow. I expect I’ll be doing a lot of rigging just to make it a work truck that’s half presentable.
What's the end goal?
I guess the goal is to shine up and old work truck as shiny as my budget allows. I'm not shooting for a show truck or to take to car shows. I just want a rugged old truck to use as a truck.
Thats a beauty
Love your truck let me know how the repairs go
Pretty random Cuz. I love it
Not an idiot
Doing great
Nice view
