thnx! yeah i kinda i wish i was doing more of these rather than highlights now that i think about it. i think at the end of the trojans VIHL winter season I realized that playing at UBC a lot has fostered some bad habits - mostly that I totally neglected defence and coverage and am just thinking about scoring. Kinda hard to help it at UBC when its so casual.

Really enjoy! Probably going to be my insert choice going forward. Overall, love the ability to customize the skate. Great work with developing these!

I personally enjoy it but lots to think about --- there's no doubt for me, the marsblade makes things like turns, transitions, etc smoother and tighter, however, you have to reconcile that with the added weight versus the standard frame. It's definitely heavier which can wear you down physically in a game situation (last outdoor game I played, I was super exhausted and sore). I use junior frames so the weight difference between a standard Hi-Lo frame isn't that crazy, but if you skate on senior frames, I think there are more light frame options which create more competition / difference between the lightest standard frame and an R1 frame. On the other hand, in a situation where you have lots of grip (like skating outdoor with grippy wheels, or on tile), I think the Marsblade can make a big difference on your game in terms of escapability. There are some times where I make some turns that wouldn't be possible on a standard frame. Also, the R1 is a lot of fun to skate on. That fluid feeling is really nice. So yeah, weight versus fluidity...that's the debate!

Thanks! Appreciate the comment. Overall, really enjoying the R1's so far. Adds something new to skating versus the standard frame which is pretty fun. H5-T8 feels great to practice with in a controlled setting, but I found it wasn't quite the right insert for me in a game setting. I've switched over to the H8-T15 which seems to be working! Will post a video soon!

@@heyguysitsmeagain9194 Nice! we've actually made a new radius after some extensive testing and came up with a 5-flat and a 10-flat, so no movement in the front. it gives better power transfer in the push off, we love the feeling and so does our testers, so maybe this is something you will like even more? anyways, we don't have it on the webpage yet, but its coming up within two weeks 🙂 if you want I can link it to you when it does?

yeah, sadly. its been longer than expected! i thought they would replace them sooner as the city came in and deep cleaned the rink. but without nets, I can tell dog people have been disrespecting memorial by letting their dogs run around in there again leaving broken sticks and stuff everywhere.
