My Channel was started because of my son 😀
We started going ‘train spotting’ together a few years back - it’s mother/son time together. He already had his Channel, @basictraincontent, up and running for awhile. I used to video the trains as well and put them on my Facebook page, but in March 2024 he suggested I start my own Channel. (I joined UA-cam in 2020 but had not uploaded anything to it). We have a nice healthy competition on the amount of views our videos achieve - a bit of family rivalry! One day I may even catch up with him on Subscribers 🤣🤣🤣.
As I didn’t want my Channel to look almost identical to my son’s, I also upload the odd video that is non-train related (hence the ‘andstuff’)
If you are interested in anything technical, then I can’t help you as all my videos are filmed using my trusty old red iPhone SE 📱and I use iMovies for my videos.
I hope you enjoy my Channel as much as I enjoy uploading to it.

@@MyTrainsAndStuff We park by the Mill and cross over the lock then under the railway and through Riverside Park. The big metal footbridge beside the Mill is also quite good when the leaves are down!!

Very nice. Did not know they did anything else other than the little 1. something mile long railway line jolly. Was this an option 2018. We did it then. I wanted to use all the train stuff I had so cut this activity out of the very long 1 and a half hour holiday video and some other things. Did well out that holiday. Lots of videos. I stuck this on 5 days ago. could have done this. or not. Guess a walk. station house and the levers room look nice. Train track level filled in, up high. Not much height on the platform. Got a railway playlist and that holiday.

There is something pretty about these 4-4-2 locomotives: the firebox looks "right". No Atlantics in NZ, and the nearest type was the Pacific which had similar looks.
