Other than for MONEY, there was never any reason to go beyond an 8 team playoff, and frankly, it was rare that you ever needed more than a 4 team playoff. Last year there might have been 5 teams that could win the title, so you insist on expanding it, even though that was a rare year. But logic would have suggested an expansion to 8 teams. Instead, money suggested going to 12. So, here we are. With a 12 team playoff, you will have at least 4 teams in the playoffs who have no shot at winning more than 1 game, and likely 6-8 teams with no shot shot. Regardless, I don't agree with this "best teams" argument. that is subjective and always will be. Plus, you minimize the regular season by overlooking losses. No, reward the BEST seasons, period.

Rankings are subjective human opinions with bias, prejudice and agendas. The fact that they are given before any games are even played is proof that are meaningless popularity points. SOS is a false metric using subjective and irrelevant variables. SOS does not measure anything. There is no difference in Miamis and Alabamas/Ole Miss/SC schedules. SOS is a deceptive farce.

BYU has two wins against ranked teams. Those two teams each have one loss, to BYU. Which other teams have wins against ranked teams that are still ranked.

To be honest, we don't have a power 4. It's the Super 2 (SEC and Big 10), the power 3 (Big 12, ACC, and potentially the Pac 12, mainly base on the potential of markets plus the potential members in most case I'd take over a majority of the Big 12 and ACC. Only like 6-8 members are actually better than most in the PAC 12 from the other leagues). Then the Group of 4-5 (Determining if the Mountain West doesn't implode). Even if money is more than the PAC 12 in the future, Not many of those schools are as good now and historically then some of the new PAC 12 members. I'd take those currect 6 over UCF, Cincinnati, Houston, Baylor, Boston College, Miami, West Virginia, Syracuse, Duke, Georgia Tech, the Corner 4 old Pac schools, and maybe Florida State from just how bad they currently are. Don't think it will be up to the SEC or BIG 10 though.

It’s Kansas and Unlv neither program is considered to be good. Kansas and unlv have improved a lot in the last couple years but neither team is a good team.

K State dominated the line on both sides of the ball and it showed in all the penalties. Arizona was struggling.

Kstate made adjustments after that first drive and made Arizona one dimensional. Arizona missed out on some opportunities in the first half and the pick in the n-zone was a momentum changer. Kstate was much more balanced!

Penalties were like undertow for AZ, especially when you have two holding (15 yards apiece) penalties in a row. KSU looked good, and AJ is a nightmare for any defense. The punt return by Edwards exposed AZ's lack of coverage speed. But I think AZ will develop, and I hope its fans will be realistic. Last year was special, and a repeat performance this year is natural to hope for but, again, not realistic.

Arizona came out and landed that opening punch but Kansas State made em work for almost eight minutes to do it.After that it was all unscripted and Kansas State made great defensive adjustments.When Kansas State went up 21-7 in the third Arizona started leaking oil and it was over.Watching Kansas States defense is like watching hockey when they do mass subs if they can they swap out several at a time.
