I’m Ramon Lopez, 15 yo and I’m an experienced RC pilot.
I build and fly all kinds of rc aircraft, just for fun, and learning more about aerodynamics, electronics and building techniques.
I live in Holland, so as you may already know the weather here is basically shit especially in winter. Luckily it’s starting to get warmer again
Thanks for stopping by 😀

I dare you to make it FPV.
I will be doing Fpv in the future. I’ll have to look for a good setup to buy

Just bought two 3S 1800mah 45c lipos. Will be much better than the 2600mah I flew in this video
Another question What sender do u use ?? i have one from a esky helicopter which i think i can use ? Thanks again
Should work fine 👍🏻
Hi great job I want to bulld this with kids at work ( after school business) question which size plane did u use ( cm ? ) cause there are a lot to buy
Thanks for helping me out
This was a 50cm one. I have also converted a 86cm one, which is easier because it has more space to put your electronics in, and it will fly much better. Veel succes ermee
@@Lopez_rc Thanks, I go and search for a 86cm one, might be easier for the kids to control then, did you put the same electronics in that one ?And i think i see a little "not explained part"did you cut a piece out of the backside of the fuselage so the back wing can move ? Thanks
@martijnvdbrakel7578 yes I did cut off some parts that were not needed, to make the tail move, and the 86cm version can run way bigger motors as well, say a 60 gram brushless running on a 2-3S 1000mah li-po or even bigger. I will make a video of one soon.
Lol what have I been swearing 🤬 trying to make that canopy 😂
Never use single antenna receivers on fast rc planes!
It crashed due to excessive torque roll and pressure on the elevator servos, this over-amped the BEC and lost control over the plane.
I even flew it on a 3S 1800mah. So slow and still quite powerful and long flying time
I later put a lighter 6S setup in it, flew way better but crashed due to some kind of karma
It was everything but stable, though I did manage to catch thermals with this one and fly way longer than I ever did before
It is still not finished, but will be flying again on the local airshow September 2nd this year
I don’t even have this little plane anymore, it was just a fun project and used the electronics for other projects over time, and I didn’t know so many people would watch this video 😂 thank you all for watching, liking and subscribing! You are making me happy
This was my 2nd homemade rc plane I believe, Made the prop smaller that’s why it’s vibrating 😂
Love it man! What Kv motor did you use for this?
I believe it’s 3000kv. Can’t find exact specs but a 3000kv on 2S with 4-5 inch prop
P
This is really great. Just do it instead of overthinking stuff. You can then improve things you don't like, about the first make, later.
Few days ago the wing flew off on takeoff. Will be repaired!!
This doesn’t fly like a spitfire, no wingtip stalls and it can fly way slower than expected. It can do F3A manoeuvres really well too
Het deur hangt scheef
Bij defecte deuren of kozijnen, kunt u het beste terecht bij een bedrijf gespecialiseerd in kozijnen en deuren.
Love it. Keep it up
Sadly its damaged but it’s repairable. I’m currently working on a slow stick that I could take to school as well and do some better aerobatics like a flat foamy
Can you help me build such a project?thanks.
What is the name of the remote control you use? How much does it cost approximately?
I use a Futaba t10j for most of my planes. But you can find way cheaper ones on internet
Great#
Ha I have one of these I built 15 years ago lol , there super sonic .
3+ channel receiver 12A esc/6A esc Two 9 gram servos 300 mah 2s lipo Control horns
I was using my left hand to steer, and right hand holding my phone 😂
Is there no back wheel?
No, it was previously made for flying from grass
Good making 💯💯💯
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉good flying
Looks fun.
İts another level😮
What remote can you use?
Every 3+ channel system should be okay
What propeller?
Stock prop, 7x6.5
@@Lopez_rc Too many amps...
Yeah, but I haven’t pushed full throttle for a long time, so my esc is fine. I think the increase in voltage brings down the amperage enough for the esc to handle.
if only I had the money for planes like these instead of my mini warbird 😢
Nice flying and it rips with the 6's in it, very cool!
Oh yeah! That rips! Very nice! ✌🏼😎👍🏼
Helis are hard to fly indeed. I need to break mine out and fly.... ✌🏼😎👍🏼
Nice! I ordered the EFXtra and they sent the EFX racer 🤦♂️ It came with the 1780kv 3536 motor and 60 amp aerostar esc so I kept it, besides it was the last one in stock... Lol! Awesome planes!
I love mine, actually I got it second hand from a club member ua-cam.com/video/777wES9cs6c/v-deo.html
Made something similar, hovewer I made it only with parts i had on hand. Ended up using an arduino nano with an nRF24L01 module as the reciever. The only thing i'm missing right now is the motor, and an esc. I bought them yesterday and I'm still waiting for it to arrive. P.S: I also have to buy a new battery, since an 9V 6LR battery isn't very practical EDIT: Forgot that I also built the "controller" myself
It’s pretty heavy, but it doesn’t fly like it is with those wingtip fins. Does knife edges really well and it’s definitely one of my favourite planes now!
I was thinking of installing a 8S pack just as heavy as the 6S, but less capacity. I would then limit 50% throttle which means only 30Amps max! Which means longer flight times and still a lot of power 120% TWR
Kaassoepinflamide.
Dat snap ik maar het is verboden om organen of uranium aan te bieden in deze openbare ruimte, dus helaas zal dit niet resulteren in dramatische goblins.
I have a question. How did you exactly know where to make the holes in the plywood for the screws to attach the plywood to the motor as a mount for it? Eyeballing it seems very difficult.
I made one hole first and attached the motor, then placed the other screws right behind the motor mount, indeed not very exact but it worked.
To make a good template for a motor base (or gasket for an engine head) place a piece of painter's tape neatly over the motor base and tap a ball bearing slightly larger than the bolts/motor bearing over the hole. That will cut out a disc the same size as the holes. Remove carefully and place over your plywood. Or better still a strip of flat metal. Once you have neatly drilled that through you have a permanent pattern that you can use many times. As you use more differently-based motors, add their base patterns to the metal strip. 😉
So now I’m going to paint it and take it to the flying field for the official maiden flight.
Mooi ding, waar is dat?
Aeroclub kennemerland, bij Alkmaar
I like the 3's setup... So smooth!
First flight I was having problems with my tail motor, now fixed and working perfect, almost no tail wag and flys amazing.
I now started thinking that since it was a little on the nose heavy side, the elevator servos might have drawn too much amps causing the rx to blackout. Now I’m working on the even bigger Cessna I can keep that in mind
Why goes your throtle down
I learned flying at a club in the eastern part of the Netherlands, where most people fly mode 1 inverted
