@Justin928 nope. I’m actually a fan of this for the most part. I feel like there’s still debate to be had, but I don’t want a minimap in the least. I do feel for my friends who lack that internal compass though, I can see how it’s easy to get lost in the two outdoor zones.. BUT there is a guild who have been working on a map, it’s super helpful. Player made maps will be normal and welcomed

Heck yeah, I always felt in EQ that Monk/Shaman combo was one of the best, I still feel like we need a third to start getting more crazy but we're only levels 6 and 7 anyway. Oh dude, oh man those rabid bats come out of nowhere lol.

It is, you can play any race/class combo at this time. I believe Joppa said the race/class matrix will go into action at early access? I thought Halfing Monk sounded funny, they all get wiped at EA anyway

@@Mikelzebub No idea, that's what I'm wondering about :-) I heard they might eat worms and small insects since they're aquatic in nature. I mean, it does make sense. That said, I have never eaten a worm myself, but I do know ppl who have had them after eating raw fish. 🐠

@ ohhh lol gotcha, I’ve heard so many cracks at the dark myr for being fish people I thought you had a joke lined up :) I think all the races will eat the same food, having that many races possibly needing to eat different types of food might get tedious. Hopefully though they get a bonus to fishing 🤞

@@Mikelzebub Yup, that does sound reasonable, you might be right and maybe they can eat the same things that the other humanoid characters can digest since they're all humanoid in one way or the other. Have you ever had worms IRL?

@@soulreaper6980 oh yes, I made the monk to be played with my buddy’s shaman, so as often as we can. He’s a busy guy. But we’re aiming to do Thursday morning (maybe live, probably not, will probably be a long video). But yeah, more content coming for sure :)

@@Mikelzebub Feign death is one of the best skills you can get in EQ you can do insane shit with it not to mention save tons of exp. But 100% you will be a pulling later in so be warned of that.

@@WayneTwitch im really looking forward to seeing how FD can expand the monk and necro playstyles. survival with the necro is kinda tough right now. looking forward to pulling also tbh, thatll be a new one for me.

No, they never intended this. However you can give your skelly pet weapons. It can sword and board or dual wield. Later they can become a warrior, rogue, or mage skelly pet. I think Summoners will get armor options maybe?

@@JJ-dm3lt check it out when they do “early access” to what is still basically pre-alpha lol. I’ve been watching and seeing a lot of the updated races, spell effects, armor, weapons, etc going in at that time. It’s looking much better and tbh as someone who has paid/“pledged” I like the direction they’re heading.

@@brykanst9071 that’s fair. The rogues in EverQuest were completely group dependent, trying out necro was almost shocking. Rogue was my go-to class for years until I caved and tried magic users and it felt more like me. Had to try the Pantheon rogue for comparison though, there’s a lot I like about them. Will keep a rogue for an alt

WoW is utterly pathetic now. I play with friends (they force me to) and I dont even touch my keyboard. Im so bored i just use my mouse and click here and there. Mobs die so easily I dont even need to know a rotation anymore.

@@Jojo-o6o6w exactly, the open world content is so easy its trivial and then the end game content like M+ ramps up to crazy amounts of difficulty. Its just too much.

I love the slow paced combat also, so much more can happen when things live longer than 10 seconds. I just couldn’t do the rotation over and over anymore, solo and grouping, just use the rotation. Just the possibility of an add (in Pantheon) changing the entire flow of the fight, sometimes adding significant danger, people reacting in different ways to adjust, yes please.

I think a lot of people feel/felt that way, you’re not alone. It’s taken a long time but it’s finally coming around.

It has classic graphics but has modern features. This is by design and isn't for everyone. I love it. I actually think WOW looks awful and I have always had this opinion. BREAKING NEWS, art is subjective.

@@Deathrydar oh man I wish I had played EQ2 back when it was a thing. I’ve heard some say it plays more like Vanguard than EQ but I missed that one too. Monsters and Memories does look a like more like a spiritual successor to EverQuest, I totally agree with that. Pantheon has its own modern flavors going on, I’m all for it. Don’t always have to stick to tradition while moving forward. Not trying to step backwards too much.

@@Mikelzebub Some are just attentive, like ... use the floor mat properly (up ahead). Some admire your feat, like killing 5 enemies with one grenade, but the best mean pain .... for example, there is one to find the secret pizza and bring it to the end boss, (or the same with a funny purple hat)...

Yeah that’s it more or less. They have leech type of abilities and are stronger at tanking magical enemies whereas a warrior would prevail over more physical targets

I think most of the fans were majorly disappointed with the graphics but the game play will reel them back in. Theres pics and little clips of the updated models out there, I think they’ll improve things enough for people to give it another shot
