Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, Jalisa Rey always had a determined spirit. After high school she took a leap of faith and moved to LA on her own with no connects, friends or family there to help her. Grinding it out in studios eventually led her to an indie deal and in 2023 she released her first two EPs. With a placement in Issa Rae's RapSh!t on HBO, a video on BET and a top 10 single on Sirus XM for 5 months all in one year, Jalisa is off to an incredible start to a career that is about to explode on the music scene.
