Not bad, Mate. Not bad at all. If you ever lose your job, you know what you can take up to pay the bills. Looks as good as those California Coops. No football for the boys then. They will have to learn existence skills and be content with Badmington.
So much for the kids football field. A very elegant looking chicken coop that's sure to withstand those cyclones, not to mention the snakes and rats. But you wouldn't have many snakes about with all those Kookaburras.

Hi MK Don, unfortunately I don't have any drawings kept. I did work off of some handmade sketches as I was building but they are long gone. It was a very custom style build to suit the area I chose to place it, and a lot of the dimensions of run, coop, posts etc etc were directly influenced by the available sizes of the different building materials needed. You may find the timber supplied in whichever country your in may come in different lengths sizes widths etc than in Australia. And because of that you may need to tweak your design to suit. However in saying all of that if you have any questions on the build, mate just let me know and im happy to share it to the best of my knowledge. Ps. MK Don as in Milton Keynes Dons football club?

Very nice construction and design, well done. I think I would have had those roost supports attached to the rafters verses the floor so as to make cleaning a bit easier, just my thought on that.

My one "negative" comment: if you put up joist hangers for the roost bars you can easily remove the bars for cleaning and such with no trouble. (just don't nail the roosts to the hangers and they will lift out) Nice job though. I am going to copy it this summer. Thanks!
Thats a very valid comment, to be fair I only gave thought to removing the "medium" for cleaning process, but your suggestion is a great idea and something I'd probably action if I was ever to do this again.
