@@connor6450 Great question! The core feature of the project is not intended to be a password manager (though, if people vote to add that as a feature, then I'd be open to it). Although you technically might be able to replace your password manager with this, I would say that the core functionality is more of an addition to what already exists in the market rather than direct competition. The key differentiator is that pic-to-pass is intended to address challenges associated with memory and password recovery. Particularly, it shines in it's application to master passwords. So, to use your example of a password manager, you still will need to have a master password that is used to encrypt all the other passwords at rest. Now, what happens if you forget that master password? You're going to be in serious trouble if you didn't write it down somewhere, but writing down a password will potentially expose it to anyone who gains access, and it's typically recommended that you don't store master passwords in plain text on a device. To address this: 1. You can use pic-to-pass to generate the same master passphrase over and over again, as long as you have the ORIGINAL image. 2. You can store the image anywhere you want, since it won't be immediately obvious that the image was used to create a passphrase. 3. By using an image that means something to you, it's possible to strengthen your memory of the passphrase, especially when coupling it with memory techniques like storytelling/linking.
