Cyclone Debbie - Brisbane Floods 2017

So there was a little cyclone up at Bowen, QLD (about 1500km north of Brisbane) on the 28 March). Since then the deluge has been moving south into a major 'weather event' in Brisbane today, with all CBD businesses closed, major road closures, hospitals on code yellows....and it's only 11am but we have been advised the worst is YET to come!

Musings of my first Brisbane Ekka since 2001! Also, a slight showbag haul/ show n tell. For those unsure-the Brisbane Exhibition, or 'Ekka' is an agricultural show, 'country meets the city' thing, held since 1876. Now part of Brisbane life whether you love or loathe it!

Very interesting Vlog, thanks for sharing. Yes you should come to the con. we travel each year to Brisbane to attend. There is so much to see and do. The atmosphere is so alive and fun. A lot of ppl put a lot of effect and thought into the cosplay. Plus many many many more things to much to name. Also the good thing about it too, is you can come and go as much as you please as long as you have the arm band on it. Hope to see you there next year. Sazz

It's pretty weird but when I saw the thumbnail I recognised you then I kept thinking and there was someone who looked extremely similar to you sitting next to me. Thanks Onnie :)! Mine is the 26th, and taking the day off work, so looking forward to it! I was in row Q....like the very LAST row down in the stalls. We had a lot of fun down there- but i kept looking up and didn't see a lot of dancing or anything up in the balcony...you guys were super reserved!

I'm from Wigan in the North of England. My dad did a tour of certain parts of Australia (I can't remember which parts, I was about 19 at the time and am in my 40s now) many years ago and he really enjoyed himself. Australia an New Zealand as well are defiantly on my Bucket list!
+Katmarie100 nice! I went to the UK/ Europe a couple of times when I lived in China- loved it! I tend to do the secret 'happy dance' whenever leaving Heathrow to catch the Tube into London, haha!
My sister English in China for 2 years and I was lucky enough to go and visit. It was the year they were counting down to handing Hong Kong back to China and we still got to fly in through the sky scrapers. Totally different world! It sounds like you've done some amazing things. My sister was always the adventurous one in our family. She lives in London now. If you come to England you should defiantly head up North. The weather is a few degrees colder than the south but the people a few degrees warmer = if I do say so myself. Ha Ha!
