DIDYSIS SEZONO ATIDARYMO KONCERTAS
“Hello to everyone living in Vilnius. I am Mizuki AITA, a percussionist and composer. I am truly happy and honored to be appearing as a vibraphone soloist and composer at the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra season opening concert on September 26, 2024. Our musical friendship began with a collaboration in 2018, and in 2020 we overcame difficulties to collaborate remotely, and I am deeply moved to be able to meet again for the first time in six years.
After detailed discussions with Maestro Modestas, we decided to perform Mizuki AITA's new vibraphone concerto "Stardust," as well as works by Shion Sahara and Shoichi Yabuta, two young Japanese composers who continue to excel in their field. I am currently in the midst of composing a new concerto. The majestic sound of the final section is currently filling my brain. Maestro Modestas requested that the theme be "bells." Needless to say, I wanted to create a sound that would resonate throughout the venue in the image of St. Catherine's Church, the place of our reunion, and in this traditional place of prayer that has been handed down since ancient times. Since ancient times, people have offered prayers to the stars. I composed these pieces with a strong focus on depicting the pure thoughts and emotions of human beings, without using words.
Shion Sahara's piece fully incorporates the essence of jazz from the vibraphone, and Shoichi Yabuta's piece is a short piece full of song. I would like everyone in Vilnius to hear both of these works, and I hope that you will take this opportunity to experience Japanese music.

Austin's piece "Wormhole!" What a cool piece! A lot of great sounds, and a beautiful tender moment as well in there!
Eu acabei de lançar meu album "First Star" A faixa "Olhos Claros" foi uma homenagem a Lady Di por seu lado por causas humanitarias que admiro muito. Nos meus proximos albums penso em fundir sons de varias origens como esse da região de Omã, e escrever cançoes que mostre que as guerras e a fome são uma ferida grave que atingem os filhos e as filhas do amanhã as crianças. Como na Siria,Gaza e Darfur no Sudão!
