Weekend Warrior Bentonville MTB
Приєднався 17 січ 2023
Giving content creating a try. Avid mountain biker in Northwest Arkansas. Funny thing is I don't actually live in Bentonville but to help with views and attention, hence the channel name. I will share my rides in all the trails that Northwest Arkansas has to offer with a slightly different twist - no commentary and live map tracking. Hopefully this will help you on your next ride or trip to our trails! As my video editing skills increase I will try to improve content! Lots of ideas! Feel free to follow me on Strava! Don't have more social media but potentially will create accounts if subscribers/views increase!
About me:
Mid-30's professional type with a passion for mountain biking. Honestly, I have not ridden many of the new trails in the area because they keep popping up, so follow me as a show you my favorite trails and explore new (to me) trails. My style is more XC so don't expect any crazy jumps! I like to go fast and enjoy technical trails. Have fun and hope you enjoy videos!

Bike Check #48 Gary Fisher Advance Disc
Hey pedal bashers! This time we are checking out an older Gary Fisher Advance Disc 26er mtb! It's easy to recognize the iconic Gary Fisher paint job on this one, I love the metallic blue! This one is in great shape and would be easy to turn into a commuter/bikepacking/or gravel bike. The components are all original and work perfect. Was not sure if original tires, if they are, they have been kept in great shape with no rotting. Another surprising feature was the 3rd bottle cage mount in the down tube! Really enjoyed working on this bike and making the video! Hope you enjoy, thanks!

Tech #3 Chain Replacement
Переглядів 9514 днів тому
Hey fellow bike DIY'ers! This time we are doing a chain check and chain replacement! There are probable better videos of this out there, I have enjoyed the other two tech videos I put together so since I was already replacing a chain, why not do a video?! As I state, the chain checker tool is fairly accurate for up to 10-sp drivetrains, would not use for 11 & 12-sp drivertrains. The chain break...
Bike Check #47 Trek Emonda 6 ALR Pro
Переглядів 6214 днів тому
Hey there weight weenies! Sorry, I can't help myself with road bike videos. Anyways, we have a really nice Trek Emonda ALR 6 Pro road bike for the bike check. This is a race ready aluminum frame machine, according to Trek. It's really light and stiff, I was impressed as how light the frame is and that carbon is not the only option for competing. This one has some changes from stock, usually you...
Bike Check #46 Cannondale CAAD 10 5
Переглядів 32514 днів тому
Hey roadies! We are checking out a nice Cannondale CAAD 10 (5 or 105 submodel). I like these older road bikes with good components, they last a long time with proper maintenance and replacing parts as needed. This one has quality components all around, including solid Shimano wheels. Only thing i'm not so sure is the Tektro brakes, wish they could of been Shimano as well. Besides the ugly bar t...
Tech #2 Disc Brake Rotor and Pads Replacement
Переглядів 8821 день тому
Hey fellow shredders! This time we are looking at a recent disc rotor and brake pad replacement for a Trek Stache that I had been working on and also doing Bike Check video. The reason I decided to change out those parts is because the rotor and pads had become contaminated with mineral oil at some point and once that penetrates, it will not go away and the squealing was horrible! Only thing to...
Bike Check #44 Specialized Roll Elite
Переглядів 6628 днів тому
Hey my cruising riders! This time we are checking out this very nice Specialized Roll Elite. It's several years old, but in excellent shape and with with great components. I think my description in video sums up this bike, it is the cadillac of cruiser bikes! Not only does it have 9-speed drivetrain and hydraulic brakes, but it has suspension seatpost and a threaded bottorm bracket. Bike is the...
Bike Check #45 Giant Cypress DX
Переглядів 5128 днів тому
Hey my upright riders! We are checking out this Giant Cypress DX in like new condition. This is my first experience with an updated Cypress. As I mentioned, there are plenty of older Cypress in the market, but this is a refreshing update with disc brakes and a 2x. Not much else to say on this bike. The market for this bike is those wanting entry level market, but wanting an upright ride which s...
Bike Check #42 Liv Alight 2 Disc
Переглядів 1352 місяці тому
Hey there fellow riders. Today we are checking out this Liv Alight 2 DD Disc. I learned that DD stands for Double Diamond frame, so i'm constantly learning new things too! This is a clean looking and good component spec'ed hybrid. The drivetrain is different than specified in official Liv/Giant website, but it seems to work ok. It is a little clunky, it gets the job done though. I like the colo...
Bike Check #41 Trek Dual Sport 2
Переглядів 932 місяці тому
Hey there! Haven't uploaded bike checks in some time, but have been actually riding more myself. Anyway, today we are checking out this Trek Dual Sport 2 hybrid, 2022 Gen 4 model. The main items that stand out for me on the bike are the newer generation Altus and Acera derailleurs and shifters. Shimano and other manufacturers are constantly developing new tech (mostly on their higher end groups...
Wheel Upgrade & Industry 9 Hydra Driver Swap
Переглядів 2262 місяці тому
Man I really enjoyed making this video! Fair warning, the first 10 minutes are most informative about wheel upgrade and driver swap, second half is me rambling! Anyway, fellow shredders, this video focuses on a wheel upgrade for my Trek Roscoe 9 and the driver swap needed to have matching components. Hope this is informative and explains some of the common compatibility issues with mountain bik...

Bike Check #23 Cannondale Quick CX 4
CAAD 10 is (arguably) - the other contender being the Colnago Dream - the best alu frame ever made - it was getting so close to the SuperSix Evo that Cannondale had to soften it up for the CAAD 10. Whether it's a crit racer, climbing bike, all round racer or endurance bike you're after the 10 is the ideal base for modification. The original "One Bike to Rule Them All".
How tall are you for the M/L bike? I am 5’5”.
I am 5'-10", the M/L fits great. For your height, you could ride either the small or medium frames, according to Trek website, both are in your height range.
@ Thank you
Can you please make a similar video on the BSA SLR PHOTON EX CYCLE?
@@Theashtray2229 If I can find one around here I would. However I think that’s only sold in India
I just bought this bike this 2024 im loving it super smooth
@@lanzilongTv it’s a nice bike!
you know seatpsot size?
I do not. I no longer have the bike so I cannot measure. There was not a whole lot of information on this bike online either.
My bike is almost the same, great bike. I bought it used about 15 yrs ago for $150. Has bigger tires, fox handle bar and trigger shifting. I think often of upgrading because I love mtb, but everytime I ride...theres no reason to sell this one or upgrade for me. Super smooth riding bikes.
That is a medium frame. I don't think there is a better intro road/ gravel bike. The Post Covid bike market is insane.
How tall are you that you have a size medium bike. Trying to see what size will work for me
@@chrisgiles8874 I’m 5’10”. In my bike checks I review at all sorts of bike sizes so it’s not all bike that fit me. In this case the medium did fit me, but I would recommend checking manufacturer website for model height recommendations, best place to start for sizing
Hi, are you still happy with bike? No issue? I'm looking to buy one
@@samutya77 I don’t have the bike anymore. Overall, I liked the bike and components for a beginner bike. My main complaint was steel fork but if you’re too concerned with added weight, it’s a good bike for the price
Ma roue libre est bien meilleure 😅😉
Terrible sound. Like old diesel. Fix sprocket .
@@gdrive44 😅 a bit older wheelset, could probably use servicing but don’t think sprocket has anything to do with noise
@@WeekendWarriorBentonvilleMTB if sprocket is ok, still is too loudly. Generally it should be silent. Bike with such sprocket is unacetable for me.
It's a good looking bike.
@@TariqBandar it is right? I like the green with black plus tan tire sidewalls look cool too
nice bike
@@egoebb agreed!
Actually, Walmart has its separate third party people who comes and assembles bikes.
@@raceface_m2579 that’s interesting to know. Assembling is one thing, but I wonder if they also adjust the bikes any before putting out on floor. After servicing the one in video, I learned others from ride group had bought same bike and had similar problems with brakes/shifting
I have the same bike. I used it as a commuter (replaced the tires with 700x32 Conti Gatorskins, and put on fenders), and have over 8,000 miles on it. Broke the saddle at about 2000 miles. Brakes are good - has to replace the pads, but it's easy to do. Also replaced the chain after about 5000 miles. Snapped the chain going to work one morning. Fixed it and went to work.
@@glenjo0 I love to hear that! That’s a lot of miles, but as long as you replace wear parts, most high quality bikes last a long time!
Ok, what am I looking for or not looking for?
Ha good question! First off, i'll say some people don't like loud hubs. A loud hub doesn't always mean a quality hub, but usually does because it's a reflection of the numbers of engagement points/pawls. You can make a hub quieter by greasing. Intent of hub check shorts is to hear "buzzing" of different hubs, not necessarily gauge quality. Myself, I love sound of quick engagement hubs, not necessarily loud. Wheel tech is so cool, it'z amazing the beating they take and durability. Long answer that probably did not answer your question 😅
@@WeekendWarriorBentonvilleMTB it did. I just bought a bike and it is just as loud.
Какие должны быть подшибники чтобы такой накат был
Maybe the translation isn't perfect, but it's not so much the bearings that create the noise. Instead it is the hub and pawl interaction when you freewheel. See link, good explanation of how hubs/wheels work: www.bikeradar.com/advice/buyers-guides/freehubs
ROSCOE 9 GANG 🦅🎣🎣

hubs good, but that tire needs reseating or the wheel is out of round/true.
@@donatoton not seated right! I saw that and I figured someone would catch it 😅 Wheel true as can be

타이어가 휠사이드에 제대로 장착이 안됬다고 ㅡ타이어가 바퀴에 안끼워졌다고 ㅡ
@@알파원-d6v Ok, translated. Yes, just need to air up until it pops
A steal fork makes no sense
Agreed! Otherwise a great value bike!
Actually that hub on roscoe 9 stock have 108 points of the engagament :D Great sounding hub
You’re right, the website does state rapid drive 108. I purchased preowned so there might have been a swap, the hub on mine does say 54t engagement. But I agree, great sounding hub
Nice vid
thanks 🙏
Sad how this place got totaled the next day 😢
Yeah, I had planned on heading back out there Sunday, but unfortunately the storm changed those plans!
@@WeekendWarriorBentonvilleMTB ah man that sucks you should head down to the railyard in Roger’s it is concrete so it’s not torn up like the other bike parks! I went there yesterday and nothing was ruined! It’s the best place anyway. You should go if you are still in town!
@@SKULLY2024 I actually live in Rogers and Railyard is 2.5 miles from my place. I do some warm up runs there, but not really my style. I hit the trails for Lake Atalanta from there.
He would probably do better if He had disc brakes definitely a sign of a low end cheap bike #teamtrek
Awesome bike. I got the roscoe 7 this past Christmas for only $1200 usd. I can only imagine how much better the 9 would be.
Having owned a Roscoe 7 before, they are very capable bikes, but yes, the Roscoe 9 is loaded with great components!

Cool.. Thanks for using my music, and for the credit...
Nice bike, nice color, i wouldn't be ashamed to own it. I had a pre 2000 giant and it didnt look nothing like this. Shows how far they've come over the years.
It’s a great bike and amazing condition!
Not Daft Punk's most easy listening song! It's an acquired taste
this is funny. I'm the kid that was just at your house looking at this bike. I have the BMC! Giving you a sub!!!
small world! just documenting my passion for bikes!
Spoiler alert…. It’s not Bentonville 😂😂 actually in Rogers but close enough 😅
"Promosm" 👌
I really bit it out there a couple years ago....great trail!
Actually live there. Great spot
