Hello and welcome to my vintage channel!
Time Warp Ambience is everything vintage and a little bit of retro, my channel focuses on ASMR and ambiance videos for relaxation and studying. Bringing you backward in time through aesthetically pleasing ambience, I am creating Time Warp Ambience to be a nostalgic journey for both young and old. With muffled music, realistic sounds, beautiful images you can dive into peace and quiet.

The pictures bring back sweet memories, loved the comments, but no audio for me. The ads came thru with audio, but not the Christmas video. Just flickering images. Same for my friend when they tried to play, too. 😐

I so LOVE your Mall Muzak from the 1970s❤💚❤💚!! As a Child from the 1970s to the 1980s, I so LOVED the Mall, especially at Christmas Time🎄🎀🦄🐻🧸❤💚❤💚!!. I wish I had not taken the Malls from granted as a Child, but I have some wonderful memories of the Mall with my Late Dad, Late Grandparents, my Mom, and my Brother as much as with my Friends 🤗🤗!!! I pray that You and Your Family had an awesome Christmas🎄🎀✨ and that You will have a blessed New Year🙏🎉🎈✨!!
Thanks for sharing your family memories this Christmas season. We all (who grew up with Malls being "Christmas Central") have precious memories of family we at the time took for granted as they were being made. Now, we keep making new ones with family, purposefully, knowing their future value. Have a very Blessed New Year!!
I was always a fan of Muzak's "Light Industrial Program".
Christmastime, 1973. Laguna Hills Mall. What's this year's hot ticket item? Shrinky Dinks? Polaroid SX-70? No, it's toilet paper. Why? Because Johnny Carson told America that there was, quote, "an acute shortage of toilet paper in the United States." Oh, it's gonna be a white Christmas indeed. What a wacky turn of events that will surely not be repeated in history.
Irony noted. Thanks for the info. Love reading these little "slices of life" people share as I listen to these videos. Wish more people would share their memories/facts about this era of malls. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
2024: Rewind 50 years - "NOW SHADDUP OR WE'RE GOIN' BACK TO DA CAAAH!!!"
🎄
Our mother when in a good mood used to bring us to the mall and buy us winter gear for the Christmas holiday. She my bro and I actually enjoyed muzac and elevator music. Mom used to play it in our house's radio.
Thanks for posting this! Nostalgia is everything. I would have been good if the world just repeated the 70s and 80s every 20 years. Maybe 1990 and 1991 too. Maybe

I get the sense that the mug at 0:13 and the mug at 1:37 came from the same store. Where'd you find these images?

Make Malls Great Again!
Make Christmas Great Again!
Back in the day when you didn't have to worry about gangs fighting or mass shoplifting nor sex traffickers stalking you. How I miss those days....
There were no fights in the malls back then. Then suddenly the dark unruly ones came.
I went to our local mall the other day. There are 5 stores left. It's so depressing.
And now Led Zeppelin and Journey are on the Muzak
And now Led Zeppelin and Journey are on the music who knew
Thank you for this
My pleasure! It was fun to make! More content like this is coming soon! 😊
Uhm…. Soooooo like in polaaaand we doooo eat jello with fish or chicken 😅😅😂 but we use just gelantine, clear flavourless and we mix it with broth or what ever…
I don’t miss malls, but I do remember a few fond memories of them.
Why don't you go to them anymore?
Or is it 1 hour and 47 minutes...?
going to a mall in the 1960s-70s was magic on the holidays very different frequency everyone was happy and kind it was a beautiful time in america nothing feels the the same its sad
Today, everyone is in a hurry and they're rude and everything seems so forced. Anyone who didn't live back then will never really know how it used to be.
The first image used is NorthPark Center in Dallas. And it’s still there, although the decorations change every year.
I was at NorthPark last weekend. It’s still such a nice mall. It opened in 1965, the year I was born. Been going ever since!
This is now a genre called Mallsoft. Check it out! There are many artists making this type of album concept. The whole idea is to feel like your in a shopping mall. Its a small genre but thats why I like it. Search for mallsoft you will find many great works of art like this!
Now we get Mariah Carey. OH YAY!
Allow me to speak to myself as well as you-------OK Boomer🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm with you on this one.
Malls sucked the blood from cities and towns. I understand the sentiment for this time but, as an elderly man, I can promise you the cities were even better at Christmas.
100% in agreement with you! And I'm 73. Christmas shopping downtown was better than any mall!
@@davidduffy4290Wow i never thought that this plot has DEEPER, and more nefarious lows… not surprised. Glad you were able to share this reality, and impertinent observation with us. 🙏🏻🎄
When it was shops in town it was inside a store then out in the snow to the next store where it was warm and when out on the sidewalk Santa clause would be walking up and down and sometimes give you a free roll of lifesavers. Then either in the shops or on the sidewalk you would often talk to someone you knew cause in those days neighbors knew each other and we weren't just a bunch of people in the same place
@@BradScott-ys6ot Not impertinent at all. Countless smaller cities were wrecked by malls, and some larger ones too.
@ yeah def understandable. You wanna hear something interesting? There’s one city in Vermont that is owned by the Rockefellers… cant remember, but it’s the city voted “best destination in the WORLD for Fall colors.” They own this AMAZING, iconic, earlier 20th century vibing town. No chain store is PERMITTED to exist in city limits!.. they are all independent-owned shops. Why do you think that is!?? Jee, does the nonstop, addictive drive for rising profits (as exemplified by growing discount-store mentality) seem to pave a road to social RUIN? Of course it does and this proves they have considered its effects. Beautiful, beautful city tho. It is beyond words. I love fall most of all, coupling that with the Norman Rockwell look is living in a movie.
Born in December? Christmas must've been fun.
This was when Christmas shopping was pleasant and magical.
It's only coming out of the left ear ?
Bring back THIS shopping experience. PLEASE🇺🇸
Tell people to stop living off amazon
if we could only relive them memories
Wicked piano playing on a lot of these tracks. The arrangements feel really busy and haphap happy!
That first mall image you show is NorthPark Mall in Dallas, Tx. I'd know it anywhere. I was a teen in the 70's, and I was definitely an original mall rat when I got my first car. I miss that SOOOOOOOOOOOO much now.
I was there last weekend. It opened the year I was born, 1965. Been going there for almost 60 years!
I remember how wonderful it was going downtown and seeing the department stores all decorated and hearing the music. Nothing was better than browsing the fragrance counter and smelling the new scents. Omg why did everything have to change.😢
Oh, the fragrance counter!. Yes! Where they gave out actual tiny glass vials of perfume to keep in your purse and test. They smelled heavenly! 🌸💮🌺
23:56 Hello, does anyone or perhaps the creator of the video know the name of this song?
Do You Hear What I Hear
@@dianagruver5767 Thank you
Seeing people down here acting like people wanted this music to go... no? Only people that wanted this music to go are people who just don't like this genre of music. It's not the fault of those who are on the opposite end of the spectrum, it is the fault of the people who give money to whatever's "popular".
Play it at 75% speed and you have a Caretaker album
When you had to do your xmas shopping in person and Amazon didn't exist yet!
I so love all the Christmas trees🎄🎍❤️💚, Christmas cookies🎍🎄🔔❤️💚, but my favorite part of all was the Collie dog pulling the fluffy white dog in this video!!! Nice music too!!! And I wish you and your family a very Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🦃❤❤!!
That's very nice. Liked the Music.
Very nice.
Instrumental "Raindrops keep falling on my head"...brings back memories of shopping centers with my parents to get my school clothes at the end of each summer. Bitter sweet then....much more so now. Thank you!
Love the vibe you have! Music/sound scape matches exquisitely with your videos! So atmosheric of the 80's!
Slow wake-up music for me. Makes me nostalgic for those I've lost over the years...and makes me reflective. Who am I missing today...time to contact them before it's too late. Thank you for this!!
70s 80s the best
61 yrs old. Grew up poor but i remember one year when i was really young my mom and i was walking downtown louisville ky, snow on the ground and snowing stores played music outside. She was window shopping. I was young n cold n just wanted to go. Man i wish i could go back there now. How have we ruined the holidays? As humans we seem to mess everything up in hopes of making it better.
My mom and I WERE walking...
Sadly progress is not all it was supposed to be. Progress has ruined America in so many ways. One thing in particular, is family. Everyone now has to work more than one job in order to just survive. Social media is raising the children. Most everyone thinks that money will solve everything. When money becomes more important than raising kids with good morals and values something is wrong. But it's not too late to find what we lost. We just have to want it back. Just my opinion, no hate. Peace.
