Arianna, you have incredibly special God-Given [motivational] gifts of compassion, giver, exhorter, serving, perception, & teacher [you've more heart gifts than head gifts, but you do have both]. You have a passion for helping others because of your experience, you remember what it felt like and when you meet those who reach out to you, I'm guessing there's an immediate connection because you can 'see' it in their expression's, how they interact, how they carry themselves, how much or how little they speak etc. It's in that moment that God allows their eyes to 'see' the bracelet, that they just know. God, loves to use the broken ones, the lost, those w/ physical, emotional pain and trauma, who have become either so focused on the goal to overcome, to be a survivor, that they achieve what their mind, will, & emotions set as their goal, OR they had an encounter with God, Jesus, the Holy Ghost or all 3 that set the path, opened doors where they 'looked' like they never could be opened because of the Label's the State forced you to become, and wear, you carry each scar you've been labeled til you die, similar to the labels the Jews & Romini Gypsies were forced to wear [the yellow star on their clothes, & the # tattoo each was given-& each wore until their death]. Being a FELON, or victim, or say sex offender, hinders everything you've worked so hard to change & overcome. When you realize that our county cts, & TDCJ are FOR PROFIT BUSINESSES, then all should have that a-ha moment & realize these labels are intended to hinder your progress & that a huge percentage of the men & women released will return through their doors because the hindrances are intentional, it should anger anyone w/a heart & a conscience! Those who are oblivious to these things and wrapped up in themselves & social media won't care until it happens to them or someone they love and they're forced to endure it! Don't ever let it stop you from talking to others about "YOUR STORY-TESTIMONY", I talk to everyone, @ the laundromat, the grocery store, the Dr. office, & tell my husband's & my story. My #1 God-Given gift(s) were a tie Teacher & Administration, then compassion & perceiver, so my teaching and how I tell his story get everyone to start asking me questions, but it isn't me, it's the Holy Spirit as I'm just His vessel. If no one has told you lately, I will, I'm so proud of what you endured and overcame & am blessed to call you a friend and fellow criminal justice reform advocate, & every time I've heard you testify @ Lege or post things like this, I 'see' HIM shine through you then 'see' how that 'shine' transfers to them to live life and use what you are gifted, to then pass to them in the future, to do exactly the same; the more you touch, the more they touch, and so on and so on. If you've never taken a God-Given gifts assessment, based on Romans 12:6-8/Everyone has 1 or more of the 7 gifts, as God left no one out, because He has a plan [Jeremiah 29:11] for each life & has gifted each person to become what He wants them to be & do what he wants them to do. You are to use your gifts to help others [1peter 4:10],These gifts were built into you when you were created & they do not change, but your awareness of them & the way in which you use them may change, as knowing them will increase your joy & assist you to grow as you understand, value, & appreciate yourself & others it will help you in all your relationships, find the right job, your future spouse, & serve the Lord in a fulfilling way in all that you do. I'd be happy to send you the questionnaire & instructions. When my husband & I did ours yrs ago, I knew I had great admin skills but never saw or thought of myself as a teacher til I got the scored profile back. I then had the a-ha moment remembering how many times, and all the people who had told me how 'smart' I was [I retain knowledge like a sponge, lol], it hit me, that the Word says those who teach are held doubly accountable on judgement day as to 'had they spoken & taught the Word correctly, truthfully, as IT is written! Words are powerful, so I say when speaking "this is a para phrase of what God or Jesus said, unless I'm actually reading it word for word. I'll always be your encourager & will keep you in my prayers to be a light in a world full of darkness, because I 'see' you use your time and energy in pursuits to help others to know they are loved, they are special, that they have a purpose this is how each of them & yourself become successful and a blessing to so many others.~ Peace~Dawn
