How many hours can the goose swim on the lake?
They don't usually stay in the water very long. After they take a bath they tend to sit on the bank eating grasses.

She flew over the divider and was now in the wrong family. I opened the gate and she ran out to find her gander and his other wives. 😂

Do you feed 16% Pellets , corm, scratch, and sunflower seeds of just head lettuce?
I feed 19% protein (Purina duck pellets) during mating season (January -June). Then an "all flock" pellet mixed with some scratch. All three from Tractor Supply. This year during the winter I gave them Romain lettuce just about every day (2 full hearts for my 8 geese). That dramatically increased the hatch rates. The first 19 eggs out of the birds all hatched and all were fertile. The next 22 eggs out of the birds one wasn't fertile and one died at about a week old. The remaining 20 all hatched.
How fertile are your eggs, 100% , 50%, etc.
The first 41 eggs had 1 that wasn't fertile and 1 that died after a week. The rest hatched. I mailed 36 eggs and those had a higher rate that didn't develop. Approximately 80% are developing nicely. Shipping is hard on eggs.
What brand and style of incubator do you have. My goose eggs are too large for mine. Yours can accommodate larger eggs.
Farm innovators from Tractor Supply. It comes with an egg turner but the egg turner is too small for goose eggs. I use the turner for a shelf which is very helpful! I have videos on how I use that incubator to hatch goose eggs. Check out my playlist.
