Both the zoom and ampero are ambient machines, you just need to know how to use them correctly ❤

Why is housing so scuffed up?

Was tweaking the cloud on my Ampero and came to the exact same conclusion. There a long attack envelope in the pré-delay of the CloudBurst, that make a big difference. I really hope Hotone will address these and other very important details in future updates.

I own the Ampero and I'm fine with it as a workhorse unit, the HQ stuff is actually really nice and could absolutely compete with analog/real gear. The non HQ stuff however... Let's just say I rarely use it. I'll probably switch to another modeler if I have the money, Helix and such. Great video anyway, thank you!

TBH the Strymon unit is bloody everywhere and a little tedious and overused. I would love to hear some old Lexicon sounds on this unit. That might spark my interest. All the best from Oz.

Could you turn up the HiDMP on the delays and the tone down on the HD Reverb to remove some of those slightly harsh highs you get with the Zoom? Nice work overall.

Oscillations on the Zoom are too aggressive and the trailing is too long. But good attempt.

Gilmour in two pedals.

Night and day. That cloudburst sounds great, it’s big, smooth and clean. The Zoom sounds nowhere near as good. You can hear it trying but it modulates too much and sounds less open and with less resolution. Thats why you pay the Strymon big bucks. I could say you could disguise the cheaper Zoom in a mix but with a reverb that size, there’s not gonna be much ‘mix’ to hide in.

I use a Boss SY-1 into the cloudburst for unbelievable fat synth pads. I play the intro to Genesis “Watcher of the Skies” and am blown away by the sound.

Great sounds. Demos like this have me GASing hard for one of these pedals.

Hi, wondering if it’s possible to have the trails even when you switch preset? I’ve ✅ ON ‘trails’ on neuro app. But this only works when on the same preset, but it doesn’t work when jumping to different preset.
