SIKA JOINTING COMPOUND, finishing the porcelain pavers off.
Переглядів 96521 день тому
Going through my video library I found these clips of me finishing the porcelain paving job, I'd had ordered the siks jointing compound but it turned out to be no good, for some reason it had gone off in its vacuum sealed bag. Anyway the supplier kindly replaced the compound with non quibbles whatsoever, this is just a short video with a brief discussion on how I joint up porcelain pavers. #por...

Creating a tax window and removing a sash
Will you ever leave that building or are you trapped forever 😁. What happened to the plot of land project ?
I have finished externals in this side, scaffold will be coming down soon, still sorting the land, been going through preplanning, I will try and do an update video.
Bloody hell Mike are you getting paid for that or is it community service 😳🤣🤣🧱👍🏽
It's like the forth bridge, I'm dome on that elevation now,
Used this on a V8 Range Rover Vogue, got quoted £3K to replace the DPF, but tried this instead and it worked like a dream. It was stuck on limp home mode, put a can of this in, drove it up the road with loads of smoke out the back, then parked it up and took the battery lead off. Had a cup of tea, went back out, put the battery lead back on and all good, no DPF fault and limp home mode cancelled, been okay for about 10 months now, so good long term fix.
Great result eh for the price? Glad it worked buddy. Thanks for commenting
Nice gloves 🧤 😂
Yer made for the job lol
Great video mike 👍👍👍
Cheers Mark, Scaffold coming down at last.
Trying to sort mine out its so awkward to get to i bought a new pipe but can i fuck get access to the bango bolt
Have you tried sliding that metal holder out from the mount, ?
Thanks for the video, but more importantly thanks for the link. Seen this stuff on ebay for £12 a can, was wanting to see what it was like, and now i see it works and get it at half the price. Thank you
No problem 👍 I'm glad I've managed to save somebody a few quid, thanks for commenting 🙂
Nice thorough job Mike . Finally got to watch It’s been a bit hectic round here 🥵🩼🦿🩼🥹🥹😊
No worries Steve, you all take care. It's like Lee majors and lindsay wagnor at your house lol. Thanks for commenting pal.
I watched the full video yesterday. Top video that.
Cheers Mark. I didn't even realise you had done a deyzone video. Thank you
Use lime plaster and breathable paint And put in a floor vent. Don't replace with the same materials which have caused the problem in the first place. Main culprits are gypsum plaster, cement and plastic based paints
I won't be replacing with same materials, can get a floor vent in the concrete, I will be using the dryzone plaster as in the spec sheet
Tidy, professional job as always 👏
Thank you. 👍
Proper pain that Mike. Hope that solves it. A month to dry out i suppose ?
Yer I'm hoping it does too, it's been a bit of time already, stopped getting condensation on the windows so tells me the moisture is going
Damp is a pain in the bum but this stuff is pretty good used it ones before seems to work grand job mate 👍
Yer worth a shot, may use it at the flats too. Like I said before I didn't realise you'd done a video.
Kindred spirits in music and tv....giving your age away 😅
Yer can't beat it, great tune, Avengers.
I have the 2024 V1 Pro. I cannot find where to adjust the reversing camera settings to NTSC. Not in factory settings and not on the reversing camera screen view. Any ideas?
There is two different engineer menus, why don't our need to change ntsc ? All camera are the same.
It's a pity you didn't show the satellite dish fixed to the wall, it would have been nice to see the finished job.
Good point well made, I wasn't sure if it was much of an interest. I also didn't have the camera gear I have now, so being on a ladder, fixing the dish, using my alignment tool and holding a camera would be difficult.
Well done Mike 😀
We can’t thank you lads enough for your support, generosity and time to help us drag the porch kicking and screaming over the line. 4 absolute saints and a great laugh too , We will be forever grateful to you all Thanks and love from the whole family 🫡😍😍🙏🏾🙏🏾🥹🥹🧱👍🏼
It was a great weekend Steve, pleasure to meet the family and do a bit to help out. Onwards and upwards now mate.
Well done Mike! its a great feeling to do something like this and makes friends for life.
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip, it was a great feeling like you say.
Did you spend more on fuel or booze ?.....don't reply I think I know the answer. You're contribution to help the aged is apreciated I'm sure, well done.
You know the answer lol,
🤣love it mate thats how you want every work day lol 👍👍👍
Yes it should, can't be serious all the time.
4 absolute diamonds 🥹🥹. Thanks again boys from all the family 🙏🏾🙏🏾😍😍🧱👍🏼

So have yoi tried your ad card at exfat? You haven't got to larger sd card have you?
Only thing I can see is you smashed it to bits
You know it's a short don't you! Ffs and yes I have ripped the plasterboard off to reveal the brick believe it or not!
COWBOY
And how do you work that out, it is British standard approved, so please tell me why @silentminority2342 Where are you based where you do this type of work? La la land
Dryzone damp-proofing cream is used in accordance with BS 6576: 2005, which is a British standard that covers the installation of damp-proof courses in masonry walls. Dryzone is a silicone-based cream that's injected into pre-drilled holes to treat and prevent rising damp. It's used to create a barrier against damp in a variety of situations, including: Solid walls made of brick, blockwork, or masonry Cavity walls Rubble-filled walls Walls with old mortar and masonry Walls with rubble-infill Single leaf construction walls Dryzone is BBA and WTA approved, and is considered to be the most rigorously tested damp-proofing cream on the market. It's effective in a wide range of conditions and on a variety of substrates, including porous and low-alkalinity mortars. Dryzone is part of a system that also includes: Dryzone Renovation Plasters: Breathable plasters that help damp walls dry and stop salt migration Dryzone Express Replastering System: A hybrid plasterboard system that can prepare walls for redecoration in under 24 hours

Looks like a good kit, look forward to seeing the outcome
Yer not bad, saved me buying full rolls of fibre
Breached DPC and touching the floor.
Yes it was definitely down to the floor, the house dpc is lower, I actually took all the sand and cement poi ting out too, the lime joints were damp behind it.
Hello and Happy New Year! All the usual suspects already mentioned should be checked but also if that is a solid floor. The plaster needs to have a 50mm gap. Also don't think it should be dry lined or one of gypsum plaster/bonding products.
Exactly buddy, plaster was down to the floor, it's concrete on the conservatory side and a wooden floor on the other.
Just priced up 2 stacks that look on the same state. Customer grumbling because i want to use scaffolding and not ladders 😂
Well it's your safety mate, mine was gable so easier I guess, only reason I used ladder.
Either there is no DPC installed or the ground/water level on the otherside is above the damp. Those bricks have been wetter than my mrs on the weddding night.
Thought I had heard them all but like the metaphor. The original bitumen dpc is breached too, plus it's been injected on the gable wall. Good shout mate
Looking a bit wet near us too mate plenty of water with the snow melt
The Ouse is always an issue isn't it, therr is a marker on selby swing bridge at the station, if the water to get to it then trains can't go over, many a time I got stuck there.
use snap toggles, they are WAY stronger. Plenty of videos comparing these things
I've never had a problem with these, people will always show and make things look the way they want too I'm afraid, like I say never had a problem. It's about using the correct one for the job in hand I guess.
Job looks great, that compound was a pain in the arse though 😡😡🧱👍🏽
It was as I had to send evidence of the pack then wait for new pack, all.good in the end though
Haven't used it yet but they say it's pritty good a fast to put in .did you get the money back for that doggy bag lol 👍👍
Just sent me another bag for free, it's piss easy to get down mate,
Do you use NHL lime or lime putty?
I didn't use putty, it was a sand lime mix.
Good job Mike like it
Cheers DIY_Dad, 🍻
Nice tidy job that Mike bit of a bugger that pointing compound was a bit iffy. Something wrong with the packing process if it goes off while sealed in the bag .
Yes I know, I've used it plenty of times but coming out the bag solid must have been a problem at the factory.
👌🏼🧱👍🏽
Did you get this sorted mike 13mm banjo bolt at the other side of the engine then the small metal pipe will come off 9 times out of 10 replacing the pipe will fix this
Yer sorted it Scott thanks, you know cars are nit my thing lol
Hi I Use. DPF regent adativ that you put in to the full, it ceeps the DPF filter from clogging up in the silencesor.
Hear of so many different additives , claim to work but don't do anything.
Shame. 😂
Explain? Mr keyboard warrior? By the way found you on your socials, hope you are prepared. Croatia by any chance? Dj
Farm shops, don't buy hundreds of thousands of tonnes of food from abroad-they tend to sell locally grown fresh produce.
Yes so should be cheaper, no transportation, no getting ripped off my unit price from super markets. Ah well.
Hello is it easy to install? Like you can do it on your own or do you need a pro mechanic on this ?
It's a straight forward plug and play, yoindont need a pro for this. Just make sure you get the correct one, you can message the store and they will confirm which one you need.
Does this work with current iOS 18.xx as some of instruction said it works with up to iOS 16?
I couldn't tell you this because at time of putting the video up this is wasn't available, I will try to find out .
