You can easily clean a rusty tank using a strong toilet-cleaning acid. Let the acid sit in the tank all day, shaking it vigorously from time to time. Be sure to protect the paint and the chrome cap. Avoid using the original chrome cap, as it tends to leak slightly even if the rubber seal is in good condition. ;)

You can short out two pins on the trunk relay and the trunk relase, if intact will open the trunk. Locked my keys in my trunk at a car show once, thank god the hood was open with the fuse box exposed.

I’ve always found it’s cheaper to spend a few extra grand for a nicer car than it is to fix a beat one up.. You can spend 6-8k on paint alone if you’re looking to make this thing look whole again..

You better be careful changing the spark plugs on this car as they are a 2 piece design and are notorious for breaking. The best thing to do is to crack each plug 1/4 turn and spray PB blaster in each spark plug hole and let it soak for a few days. Then loosen and tighten each one slowly and keep doing it very slowly until the plug feels good to come out. If you force the plugs and try to get them out fast then you have a high likelihood of breaking some and then you need the special tool to remove the broken plug. There is a Ford TSB for removing these plugs. I suggest though letting them soak with PB blaster for a few days, not the shorter time interval. Then you likely won’t have one break if you go slow and easy. Some people report success having the engine warm and removing the plugs with an impact. But Ford does not recommend that and I think that’s risky when the cylinder head is aluminum and you’re removing a steel plug. There’s risk to mess up the cylinder head threads. For the trunk you need the key fob with the lock and unlock buttons which also has the trunk release button. I don’t know why Ford removed the interior trunk release as Mustangs for many years prior had that including the model prior. Cost cutting I guess. It’s crazy to see the life some of these cars have. I bought a blue one new in 2006 and I still have it and it’s super clean inside, out, in the engine bay and underneath. It’s like a new car still with 101,000 miles. It is garage stored always, never winter driven and is mot driven in rain, simply on occasional nice Saturdays in summer. It’s modded very nicely and runs great.

It was ran without oil and probably overheated also radiator ended up with a crack in it and was replaced before the engine knock love ya buddy come fix more of our cars😂

I like those generation Chevrolet & GMC fullsize pickups. They're my favorite body design. I don't see many of them on the roads anymore like I use to back in the day.
