Temperatures dropped down to the low 30's the night before. Wind gusts were about 25 mph, but we still had fun. What rod is that tx2 on?
It came as a combo together, but the rod is a 13 Fishing Fate Green 7ft 1in medium fast rod!
How can I fish my jerk bait right? I’m going fishing in 1 hour so if you respond quickly it would help 🙏
The key is to make quick pops with the rod, the lure works best when you make quick pops and let it sit for a couple seconds, maybe a couple quick pops in a row then let it sit for a couple seconds or so. Just gotta try different speeds of return to see what the fish are hitting

hey Seth, I was wondering if you happen to know the rod info for that 13 fate. I am looking at getting one and cant seem to find much about them
That rod is a 7’1” medium fast rod. This one came as a combo with the origin TX reel from Academy Sports, but you can also buy just the rod separately.
This is the first fish to reach low earth orbit as part of the Bass Pro Shop space program.

Great video. Could you use 20# braid with that reel?
Sure that would be a good option. Braid is a little harder to cast on baitcasters if you don’t have much experience, but if you do it will be a great alternative!
How does that reel hold up with the saltwater?
I haven’t had any issues out of it. Just spray it down with freshwater after being inshore. I try to clean it and oil after heavy use though.

Hey man was wondering what size line you use with your tx2 reel and if I could go higher then the 12lb line they recommend?
I’m running 12lb stren magnathin, but you could easily run up to 16lb line without any issues. The heavier the line you put on the less casting distance you will have.

Are the handles worth it I’m thinking about buying some bearings and handle for my abu revo x
I love the size of the handle. The factory handle on the Shimano Caenan was really small. As far as the metal knobs go, I like them, but they get really cold in the winter.
@@sethlamm9557 I wonder if you could put the stock handles on it
I looked on the website and it says only Shimano and Daiwa factory handle knobs will fit the bare handle kit. For all others you would have to get the complete handle assembly.

Yeah it’s got a similar feel to the fate black. The fate black does have micro guides and is a hair lighter than the fate green I’m using though. I have both rods and love them both for different applications.

It would be tough to use a leader with the fate black casting rod. Maybe if you use an FG knot though.
