Great band
5 years and only 43 likes. A smile would get you more likes. You look angry.
The translate is not very accuracy, in spanish its even more grandilocuente
Yo im a french Canadian who learn english listening Eminem pearl jam Rage against the machine. So i understand your difficulties explaining explicit Lyrics 😂😂😂
This is like the only reaction to Music Is My Radar I've seen on UA-cam. Amazing.
As soon as Neil went solo, he talks to his audience about how silly he felt about the fame of Buffalo Springfield, and the decibels and amount of equipment. But he got over that phase quick haha
On a side note, NY's current wife is famous actress Daryl Hannah
That album Again is a masterpiece. I recommend all 3 of their albums. And Neil Young's solo self-titled debut which came out in 1968. It was not a hit but its follow-up was huge
y esa wea te gustó? pfff q estamos cagaos
🏳🌈
hey kid blink 3 times if its a black phone situation :)
Amazing that you can now put all that collection behind you in one pendrive D:
Great reaction I see you were listening to all his deep bars
Q hable o traduscan
You're so spot on with your summary. I sometimes feel like a stick in the mud (I too am an old-school Pumpkins fan), and it's so refreshing to find a new 'musician'. She's actually shit hot on the guitar - check her live stuff
Welcome to the Jaivas Universe....!!! This theme is a masterpiece from Latin America to the world. This group is on another level... It belongs to another Universe. The musical quality, how they integrate folk instruments with modern instruments... It's impressive how they combine different musical styles (classical music, rock, folk), changes of harmonies, introductions, emotions... they are unique...!!
Gabriel Parra insuperable.
This version is a complete abomination of the masterpiece that is the album version. Please remove this from your mind and check that out. Then the rest of the album!
Shah banned some songs by few artists not all artists ot music’s together, sensorship has always been around people relax
It's a 2 minute distillation of what makes Kate Bush so special. It's beautiful, it's abstract, it's ambiguous, and yet it is pregnant with meaning and emotion, like a moment stolen from an unknown story. And there is something very English in its evocation of a garden at night in the summer, so cool and fragrant after the day's heat, with the smell of earth underneath the sweet perfume of the flowers, and secrets and possibilities hiding in the shadows of the foliage. The garden of the house she grew up in, no doubt, where her sensibilities were first formed and nurtured. That's how I hear it, in any case; and I love it.
Great band. I don't know if it had anything to do with those new re-releases coming out but I was able to pick up the CDs of the original releases for next to nothing recently. The box set and special releases of course look very cool but a bit pricey!
You missed the end of the song
Kate plays guitar and bass on "Big Stripey Lie".
Los Jaivas son unicos
Hi Lexicon, thanks so much for your effort reviewing art from far away. You have been a visionary reacting this band. There’s so many people discovering them in the last two years, and I hope millions will do it too. Let me send you a big hug from LatinAmerica, where they belong (not only Chile).
Yeah, I got the same feeling as you when I heard this edited version of the song Six as I thought there was a lot taken out of the song. This edited version is more synth driven and the video is a homage to the David Bowie video Hero'es. I guess it's also a homage to Kate Bushes Babushka video too. Seratonin and Fallout became my favorites on the album. Specially Blown it and Being a Girl Part One and Two were amazing too but a lot of the songs were like two different songs within one song which is why the likes of Six was edited to sound more like a verse chorus verse sound. Television is also amazing along with the 2nd part of the Cancer song. Paul even talked about his amazing solo for Shot Gun Blows and how he could have turned that song into a single by producing it into a more radio friendly verse chorus verse sound. Anti Everything and Inverse Midus are brilliant too but is that one song or two songs in one lol. Negative is my least favorite song on the ablum and should never have been released as a single. I saw it more of a b -side and coming to think of it, the b -sides were so strong that any of them could have made the album. My favorite tracks being "I Care " Hide Out," "Check Under The Bed," Railings, "King of Beauty," "When The Wind Bows," and "Godlen Stone."
Ok, let me explain in the word of Paul Draper which come from an Interview I heard a while back somewhere on UA-cam. He was basically saying that if he just went for the normal verse chorus verse route with the album Six that the album would have been a big success. The reason for this is that there's very strong melodies on all the songs along with stunning guitar and synth solo's. The rest of the band wanted a stadium rock sound but Paul wanted it his way which is more or less what killed the success of the 2nd album and the band itself in the end. His progging around with the 2nd album is basically what split the band in the end and money came into it to with Paul wanting to be paid more being the chief song writer and producer. Also, I recall him saying something like "on the third album the band weren't really talking to him which saw the end of the band." They could have become a big sellout stadium rock band like Oasis and Blur but becaues of Paul's ego the 2nd album didn't do as well as the first selling something like 300.000 copies after a while. The album did do well after a while through word of mouth but AOTGL sold something like 600.000 copies. Little Kix then was basically produced by the record company with Paul being sacked form production duties. If you listen to Little Kix you'll notice that it sounds very much like the sound produced by alumbs you might hear from Boybands that were around at the time. I couldn't believe how badly produced Little Kix sounded as it sounded nothing like the normal Mansun sound. That was the end of the band of course and then they got together over the phone and released the 4th album which was raw but much better than the third production wise. This Six edited version is basically the "verse chorus verse," version that the record company wanted to be put out as the single. The video was directed by a french director and the song is about Karl Marx communist ideas of everyone being on the same level money wise. It's funny how Paul was influenced by communist ideas but he quickly got out of that thinking when he wanted more money being the chief song writer of the band. Paul and his ego basically ended Mansun but if he worked with the rest of the band we might be listening to a cleaner version of Six production wise with less fuckery in regards tot he songs.
Six is the best album I've ever heard a stunning piece of work. I prefer the original album version but this edited version was pretty decent.
The music of Los Jaivas is a unique fusion between rock and latinoamerican rithms and instruments. The long horn is a "trutuka" an instrument of the mapuche culture. It is mostly a ceremonial instrument, and it is not intended to produce many notes, since it doesn´t have holes on it. Los Jaivas turned into an musical instrument, and learned to produce melodies, by adjusting the strength of the blowing. Another instrument used in this song is the "tarka", a flute carved out of a piece of wood, which is used in religious festivals of northern Chile, such as "La Virgen de la Tirana". The tarka is not used to produce melodies either, but rather as a rithmic instrument. I like very much your reaction. Specially for the good quality of the sound and video. Thanks a lot
The sensual world Is an amazingggggg album 👌 this woman Is More than star she Is Music 🙌🙌
Such a cool song! 🤘😑
Doesn't have the same feel live.
Kate didn't want it on the album because it was a secret. She wanted the fans to discover it for themselves

Loved it then and love it now even more!
K. Yaghmaei was a brilliant musician (and still is). His music is pure and sophisticated. He rose to fame in the 70's and prospered during Shah's time (until 1979). I have been listening to his many hits for the last 40 years ... and never get tired of them.

Absolutely INCREDIBLE I was lucky enough to see Roger in Birmingham July 2018 playing Pigs 3 Different Ones, MIND BLOWING including the visuals on Battersea Power Station which was 200feet long from the stage to the back of the stadium and 200feet high, I was sitting 30feet away from the middle of Battersea Power Station it blew me away
