There's been a few stories where eldritch gods, cosmic horrors, multidimension beings, etc. have been included and I'm honestly surprised that Cthulhu has never out right been used, mentioned, or even hinted at. Also, he's the only named eldritch god that I know of thanks to The Call of Cthulhu video game on Two Best Friends channel, some graphic animated series that I think is on Netflix, and for a comedic twist watch Game Grumps play Sucker For Love there're 5(?) parts and it's hilarious.

This combination of intergalactic scifi with religion and the occult is fantastic and unique. The idea that the Gods of our many religions on earth which have been at each others throats for generations, band together to protect their children, and even that all Mary can do is pray the aliens wont fuck up. Its amazing.

One of the best stories dealing with religion and metaphysics.
