The laughter and then the “I’m not good” and the “we’ll figure it out” 😭 friendship
First 3 Minutes wasted my time. It was neccesary to add your funny non-sense talk lol
Very cool. I'm training to be ski patrol right now and it was cool to see how a rescue takes place in a video. Hope you buddy is doing well.
I'm glad that you're able to use this video not just for entertainment purposes. Matt is doing good now, he recovered. Hope your training goes well!
I need more lee canyon
@@metalisgood_hah Me too haha
@@TannerSG I’m so mad that I have to wait two months
This is partially relatable, I fractured my radial head too (didn’t dislocate anything though) in a biking accident 3 weeks ago.. still recovering 😢
Sorry to hear that, hope things get better.
the sled of shame... akin to a dogs collar of shame
@@happyfisherman4432 He also wore the sling of shame for a couple months.
Dudes gotta be drunk or high
very… very strange guy
you know hes a real friend when he laughed before he said you ok 👌
Been skiing for 20 years and you have more balls than I do. Keep up the work and success will follow!!
Thank you! I might have more balls but yours are bigger. Hope you keep skiing!
Hope everything worked out man
Thanks man, he healed up just fine.
@@TannerSG that’s great to hear
This is what I was looking for. Glad he's okay and that you were there for him. Good to have a buddy who will wait for ski patrol and be a lookout.
get well soon Bro
so sick dude. love the raw vibes
Thanks homie! I'll go raw with you anytime 😉
damn solitude looks yummy brother, gotta get up there next season for sure. - matt
Hey bro! Let me know next season when you are down.
Yummmmmyyyyyyyyyyy
So Yummmmmmyyyyyyyyy
Going way too fast for those kook turns lmao. Fuck around find out
oh speak of the devil😆
Id recommend checking out bag o tricks. theyve really helped me progress and understand the mechanics of freestyle
also stomp it tutorials if you havent already
That sucks. I tend to ski aggressively but only do high speeds on a wide open trail, and only after I'm warmed up and have my ski legs under me. No way am I getting injured and ending my ski day early.
The best place to be in Vegas!!! Lee is my home mountain I love that place!! I separated my shoulder there about a month ago and cut my season short, hope your buddy healed up and got to tear it up this season!! can't wait for next season!!
Im sure we've met at some point. This was my first season ever snowboarding. I started here at Lee canyon. I was on the mountain equally as many dayd as i wasn't this year. But my season got cut short when I tried to jump off a box and nearly broke my wrist ("only" a massive sprain).
We definitely may have met up there. I definitely will be up there a lot more next season, got the unlimited pass on lock for next season, I can’t wait!!
Sometimes an injury like a broken limb or one that's been dislocated is heaps easier to heal from than if you don't manage to break bone but you injure the muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves that support the joints. I mean that broken bones usually mean casts and sometimes operations to get the bone in the right position and then your body does the working of mending the break. Versus hurting/tearing/stretching muscles, etc where they heal extremely slowly if at all. I am hypermobile which means my joints bend more and muscles etc are more stretchy than normal. Months ago I was walking with a heavy tub in my arms, my ankle rolled over and the muscle that joins the tendon between my shin and the top of my foot tore more than an inch( tear wss 3.7cm). If I had torn the tendon I would have to have an operation to fix it but because I tore the muscle I was told to go home and "rest it". The pain and instability of my ankle has only gotten worse. My gp is finally sending me to orthopaedics to see what I can do to help it since bandages and rest didn't help. I think id rather the broken ankle or torn tendon than the ongoing pain, instability and nerve problems
@@dotcassilles1488hope you heal up soon good luck 🙏
No words here. Ah youth…………..
Love the vids!
Thanks!
ok great job but try to pop onto the rail more than just sliding on, this way you can lock into it and you wont just slide right off the other side, also try to get more close to 90 degrees on the rail and you should be good to go.
Great advice! This is an older video so I've followed this advice and it's improved everything.
if you are still learning rails id suggest jumping from the side with speed and turning 90 degrees right since you go at it from the left
Thanks, I've improved on my rails since my last videos. I usually go center now. Forces me to pop 90 so I don't half ass it. I appreciate the tip @JapexGT
SPEEEEEEEEEDDD!!! Speed is the way to go on rails easier to balance and it goes by faster!
The same just happened to My Mom, skiing in Vermont last week. Broke her arm, shoulder to be exact. Also hit her head, so ski patrol asked her if she knows where she is. Hoping for the recovery to be Quick. ❤❤❤❤
I'm sorry to hear that. Hope she recovers quickly too.
Thank You!
i am sorry but where did seh ski because i live in vermont and i ski and bromley and stratton
How is Matt now? Did he get any surgery?
It's been a while since I have talked with Matt but I don't believe he had any surgeries, he did recover from the crash.
Most of the people who get serious ski injuries are good skiers who might underestimate the risk of certain situations.
Damn, that opened my eyes a bit. You're like the Gandhi of skiing
I’ve been thinking about that a lot recently, being a month out from my season ender. I feel like a lot of people could at the very least get down some of this more difficult terrain (save for mandatory straightlining and such), if they just took their time and remained in control. It’s when you get overconfident that injuries begin to occur, like I did myself.
thought you were bout to take a dive on that opening insert off lift lol
I think I was about too haha
teach me coach
😂
Come from the middle pop high and do a full 90 onto it
Thank you! I appreciate the advice
if you want some more advice. i always was landing on my back and side when I did 360s. 1.first of all i was rotating the wrong way. 2. keep shin pressure and try to stay straight ish 3. most important is pop technique (learn this first) 4. keep your eyes pointed flat with the horizon, if you look down you will get off axis **and bonus tuck up you legs a bit when you spin for more style and stability
Thanks man, I appreciate the advice!
A lot of times i feel like a backflip would be easier for me than a 360 cause a 360 is so foreign. The commitment aspect is the scariest part.
A backflip is more intimidating for me. Maybe one day haha
Backflips are mechanically easier to pull off, but are more intimidating because you need more airtime. 360’s are more universal and scalable, but trickier to pull off on larger hits
technically more simple if you have the right jump. Right now Im more comfortable doing backflips than 360s
Hell yeah thank you
No problem
Solid 🤙
Thanks man!
Good job I am try also trying to hit rails I will do everything you do keep up the good work
You can do it!
Im 8 months late, but DONT CARVE TO GET ON THE RAIL!! if you do that, you change the direction you're going instead of going straight. You need to hop to the side
Sweet! Thanks for the advice!
@Legend_Henderik lmao incase you didnt see, tanner was carving to get onto the rail
This is my first time to see ski patrol with snowboard 3:48
Yeah, I was a bit shocked as well.
just broke my hand and collarbone 2 weeks ago in a similar crash...powder hiding rocks. my meatwagon driver was also a snowboarder and he was awesome. shout out to the Killington ski patrol.
Super sick video Tanner! Your GoPro footage is sick asf! Just picked myself up a Hero10!
Thanks! Hero 10 is the way to go
Super nice video! Never been to SnowBasin, but this vid makes me want to check it out!
Thanks! It's a very fun mountain.
He laughs like a mormon
I only laugh like that on Sundays ❤
TRY TO JUMP UP TO IT, ITS REALLY HELPFULL
I appreciate the advice 🙏
@@TannerSG yoooooo you answered!!!!!!!!!
I know this is 7 months old but square rails are monumentally easier than the tubes because its flat and not curved
Thanks brother
Dude i relate so much to this i felt the same way 😂
Glad we can both suffer together 😂
what a wholesome video
Thanks man!
🙂 promo sm
2:04 yikes
For sure
those ppl dummies for sitting under that blind landing
Shit happens
Wow, quite a turnout! Loving the sight of all those eager skiers. Your new skis look fantastic! How are they treating you on the slopes?
Really solid under my feet. Feels comfortable going switch on these. Thanks for asking. Hope you're having a great ski season so far!
