Hi Mike, the system in this video comprised of an 8kw inverter inside of the RedEarth BushChook along with 5x Troppo 4.1kwh lithium batteries connected to a 11.44kw PV array consisting of tier 1 dual glass 440w panels. Alongside this system there was also an automatic start 8.8kva generator hard wired into the inverter to automatically provide backup to load assist and charge the batteries if it is ever needed.

Morning, EPS [Emergency power supply] is the extension of the terminology. UPS stands for uninterrupted power supply and refers to back up power solutions that have an instant response. UPS Systems are normally seen backing up computer servers and sensitive electronics that can not have a delay on emergency back up, these are also generally smaller battery back up systems for one component as apposed to a complete home. We refer to these systems having a UPS level response to emergency backup during grid loss as it is lightening fast for the change over where as most products kick in with a 10ms response or longer during a grid loss event. .

Hi Matthew, most people understand Watts better so we opt to speak in W and KW when speaking about Victron Gear.

Hi Dan. It just gets a bit confusing when a 5000VA Multiplus II, for example, is rated to 4000W max continuous in ideal conditions. Cheers.

@@matthewanderson2982 copy that bud, we covered the Victron gear in more detail with our off grid mini series videos where we have more time to discuss in detail, specifically derating in high ambient temps which Victron hardware is very susceptible too. This was more of a quick overview on the product. When we provide our consultation service with the customer this is generally where we go into more detail and go over terminology ect. Hello Wayne, I believe their is no limit on the battery capacity in WA and it is more so a limit on the inverter capacity from my understanding. I could be wrong though as we mainly specialise in QLD grid requirements. I would recommend calling the energy network provider to find out 100% or chat with a local CEC approved installer that would be able to answer the question as the requirements are often different state to state 👍

The three phase option will take a little longer than the single phase as it is further back in the CEC approval queue.

G'Day, quick updated re Sigenstor. We now have them on hand and ready to go in our warehouse. They have also just jumped through the hoops with the clean energy council in Australia meaning we can now install them and claim rebates on the solar array! Currently only the Single phase 5kw and 6kw inverters are approved and we are hearing a month or two for the three phase range.

@@celts88-78 Funily enough we received notice this afternoon that the Sigenstor three phase range is being approved by the CEC end of next month! This will include the 10kw / 15kw and massive 30kw hybrid inverters!

Hello, quick update re this question. The 6kw single phase will be available as of late may, batteries are good to go as of now too. The remainder of the single and three phase will be ready to go as of the end of June.
