This one I'm talking a lot more about the show; I think I had to set up why this theme is important before getting into One Piece's portrayal of it... all stuff I'll try to work on during the break; next video will theoretically be January 8. Yes the title is deliberately misleading. Yes it is also entirely accurate. Words are fun like that. Quick reflection on the bridge in the song Face to Face.

Finally, I've found a reaction to this movie! Whereas with other adaptations I feel that they're just more of an imitation of the source material, I find myself watching this movie a lot almost working on its own - perhaps each medium having separate themes helps, but I still find there are moments where the two converge. It's become, in many ways, a comfort movie, not quite as heavy or introspective as the book, but just enough. If there's one thing I did prefer in the movie to the book was the how they handled the ticking clock element, the need to get to Agloe by a certain time. By changing it from Margo's omnictionary message implying she'd leave at a certain point to prom, the focus shifts to Quentin being conflicted between commitment to his friends to his obsession with finding Margo. The addition of Angela joining them on the trip helps as well, I think. The lengthy road trip fit the format of a the book better, but I might prefer the overall 'feel' (ambiguously defined) of it in the film, if that makes sense? Edit, because I forgot the first time around: I also think one of Radar's lines in both versions makes a bit more sense in the movie's version of things. When keeping to a strict schedule, and their gathering of supplies at the pump being carefully times, he threatens leaving [their] asses. I personally think it makes more sense if he's eager to get back for prom rather than, what, going to Agloe on his own. Now there's fanfiction fuel...

Your opinion does not matter because you do not have the subjectivity of a man. Toxic masculinity is a correct critic evidenced by data. (See the ratio of suicide men-women or drug users). Toxic masculinity attacks emotional inability, this trait leads to many disasters.

Hi. I love how you can start with "your opinion does not matter" to someone who has literally five viewers then think you have any right to talk about suicide to me. Also, it's an incorrect critique that Leads men to feel ashamed of themselves simply for acting like themselves, which can lead to many problems, including mental health issues that could ultimately lead to drug abuse and suicide. And some of what I said in this video Could explain why men would be more likely to end their lives or turn to substance abuse, while women would be more likely to wait it out (day-to-day vs big picture). I'm probably not expressing myself properly because I'm clearly new to putting my opinion out there, but please consider checking out jordan peterson as he actually helps men who have been hurt by that narrative realize their true potential and live a life of meaning. Also, thanks for commenting, how tf did you find this video? Xp have a nice day!

@@youtubecontant5783 jordan peterson is the classical psycologists who indiviualizes excessive the problems and does not have a systemic approach. Check Gabor Mater. When I say your opinion is not important is because you are not a man.
