Hi Thank you for your lovely comment. About your knitting. There are various ways of making the heel. I think you are proposing a holding needle instead of waste yarn which is doable but tricky. Adding in waste yarn is easier and its an experiment I might try later and see what we get! Do get in touch if you have any questions. I will try and answer as best I can! 😊

I am making my first sock and have watched all your videos as I've been looking for toe up sock using short circular needles... These tutorials are clear and easy to understand..thank you so much for doing them. I was wondering if I Would be able to just continue working the foot on one needle until I get to the heel and then slip half the stitches back onto the other needle to do the heel? I'll be watching for the tutorial for that when it come out... Thanks again.. Much appreciated.

I do love lacey patterns! I think this lacey white would be a lovely neck-scarf tied at the back if kept reasonably small, so the lace shows down the front. The beautiful orangey coloured cardigan is lovely in the stocking stitch. Some yarns knit more regularly than others in that sort of stitch, and this looks to be one of them!. Lovely baby things too. I used to love making baby knitteds - love the booties and look forward to seeing the finished cardi! Love to see the seagull dancing on the grass, trying to get the worms up from down below! More gorgeous socks too! And yet more! Some lovely edging and posy ideas too. Thank you for showing all these lovely pieces of work and good luck with all your projects!

@@woollynomad Knitables (Sara) is the UA-cam site I refer to most. I am back into knitting after a long absence and I am knitting toys because they are short term projects. Many toy patterns originate in England and I believe that is the origin of the site. You might try studying sites like that as a guide for what to do when making videos. I've always done what you call a cable cast-on, but I also put the new stitch on the needle what is effectively the other way round - but it probably doesn't make much difference! I must admit that I'm not very fond of wooden needles - I like the old-style metal ones best, but each to their own! Very nice piece!

I love the hooded jacket - really cosy- looking! The lady doing the steeking was very good at it too. I don't think I could be bothered to steek fronts like that. It would probably be quicker just knitting yp two half-front with ribbing on the inner sides. Having said that, I think it's a tradition, isn't it, and an interesting feature of Scandinavian knitting. The mittens are very pretty and look nice and warm for one's handy-pandies! As for the booties, why not make three up, each in one of the three yarn colours? Happy knitting!

I love those colours together! The crochet hat is lovely, but I think I would agree with you that crocheted mittens would not be as comfy as knitted ones. Knitting is flatter. Even close-stitched crochet would still have some bumpiness, even with a soft yarn. You've made a lovely selection of socks! They're all attractive in different ways, bright colours and under-stated ones and the blue socks are lovely too (not everything has to be brightly-coloured!) I'm not sure that I would have the patience to knit on such small needles! The plain blue knitted hat is really lovely too and I love the pinky and white coloured Bergere yarn. I would like to say that I do like your lovely pink trousers too! I wondered if you made them? If so, perhaps you could include sewing in your vlogs too! Have a great 2023!

I love that gorgeous, really fluffy little cat too! Hiding with his dinosaur! Such huge eyes too! Maybe you could knit a cat-based pattern in a bag or the back of gloves, or something.
