Wait wait wait wait, Silicon Valley was supposed to release before _Banjo-Kazooie?!?!_ You said Banjo redefined 3D platforming, but imagine the world where Silicon Valley gets on the market beforehand. How much changes in the game industry?!? I mean, Banjo probably benefited indirectly from Silicon Valley’s delay, and the overlap between both games’ sense of humour is quite large. Rare probably doesn’t get as big, and Rockstar potentially does more with the Silicon Valley IP, which probably reflects negatively on how many eggs they put in the GTA basket….

So happy to find this video, SSSV is a game I never see mentioned, not even in N64 groups on Facebook or anything, and yet it has been in my top five games of all time since I bought it around the time of its original release. I love the graphics, level designs, crazy animals, superb variety, unique weirdness, and fantastic sense of humour. That soundtrack is still one of my favourites ever too, even if Stuart Ross did ignore my messages on FB about doing a short interview! 😛 I'd love to see a sequel or something on Steam...

This is quite stellar video! I dig the presentation and the history of the game's development. I too have played this game a long time ago and still thought it's great! The second game is called “pleasure goal,” which could be tied to dating goals, the third game mentions “madness,” so it fits the “madly” part of “madly in love.” The 4th game refers to the love of Jesus Christ

That was a complete work of art! You really went all out, and that was very entertaining on top of the awesome SSSV history. I felt like I got to go on an entire adventure in the span of 16 minutes :D I'm happy that I got to contribute some music and art to this masterpiece

I believe Arzest actually did development work on Yoshi’s New Island, Hey Pikmin, and Balan Wonderworld (not just porting). Of all the games on the list, Hey Pikmin is the only one I’ve heard good things about. The rest are either mediocre games or serviceable ports of existing games.

I wanna see a parallel universe where Pikmin 4 exists.
