A quick (LQ) video describing the engine test setup I made, and how to hook it up. It was cheap to do if you have a junk transmission laying around, and a circular saw with an abrasive blade. Wait till it is dark out to cut it in half, and invite the family out to watch all the sparks (be careful not to catch it on fire and cut on a surface you don't care about) The setup makes it easy to work ...

    Do you have to remove the refrigerant first? Then recharge the system after replacement? Great video by the way

      Yes, you will need to evacuate the refrigerant before performing this step. Tip: Most shops will evacuate the system for you, and credit you that amount of freon when you bring it back for recharge. Just be sure to ask up front.
