California games still fun as hell today. When I got that game I believe back in 88 oh my was so much fun. Didn’t have anyone that would really play me but I still enjoyed it. Not sure what the hell happened to the sequel. Looks to be complete garbage reminds me of the sequel to zillion!!

Any of the different colored boxes released here (four total, unless I'm mistaken) were released by Activision. Bomber Raid and Cyborg Hunter (black), Rampage (red) and Galaxy Force (silver). Also, yes: Double Dragon was ported to both the Atari 2600 and 7800.

Hi, I never had to say a mess the system growing up. I always had the Nintendo entertainment system, but I still have my genesis and I could buy the master system converted and plugs into the genesis to play the system games

When I saw the game catalog for the first time a few years ago I really wanted to get one. I offered to buy just the catalog from a couple of sellers but no one would bite. A few months later I get a couple of games that came with catalogs. Some great SMS pickups.

Sega Master System was amazing! R-TYPE was my favorite. Aftee Burner was fun but I always wanted the arcade version.

I honestly think the master system is the most underrated games console, great games library. Just gets overshadowed by NES and 2600 somehow. I wish Sega would do a games collection for modern consoles🤞🏻

dont get the 2600+ and get the gamestation pro instead. the 2600+ is only an emulator machine like many other and it dont even have an sd card slot. i dont really understand this guy having a blast with this. its only atari games like we all know and brings nothing new other than have hdmi. you can use an adapter on an old atari system too. i play my original atari on my big tv with an adapter without a problem and even using rf is ok. my 2023 tv has an rf input. just need the rf adapter.

Your poor Atari joke should probably not have been made in a Master System video. At the time of the Mastet System in the US, Sega was third behind Nintendo AND Atari.

We had both of these but did Sega release a revised Master System version of Altered Beast because what I'm hearing in this video is definitely far superior to the audio in the version we had? Or are you playing with a Master System with the FM audio chip (or an emulator with FM enabled)? Did the FM add extra speech (the PSG version has no "Rise from the Grave")? What I heard on my lowly North American market PSG audio Sega Master System is the same audio as heard in WorldOfLongplay's "Master System Longplay [025] Altered Beast" video. I guess we enjoyed Alien Syndrome but, once I found out about the arcade version's smooth scrolling, I think I would have preferred the Tengen version on NES (but I never had an NES). And it's extremely weird to me that the NES has a more accurate port of a Sega arcade game than the Sega Master System had.

Very good version of Outrun for the time. Great Football isn't great, but none of the Great sports series are. Later sports titles are better.

Not very good Master System versions. Alien Syndrome is passable, but Altered Beast (released before the Mega Drive version I believe) is pretty horrible. I like the Mega Drive version though.
