Jester Groupie
Приєднався 29 вер 2020
Jester Groupie is a channel dedicated to the Jester Challenge, a regular single-handed deep-ocean sailing event for boats of under 30ft (10m).
Starting from the UK, the destinations rotate between Baltimore in Southern Ireland, the Azores in the Atlantic, and Rhode Island in the USA.
In these videos, skippers pass on their tips and practical knowledge and we take a tour of their modest boats, which are often equipped to a very tight budget.
My name is Jake Kavanagh, and I have been following the Jester Challenge since the first Trans-Atlantic event in 2006. One day I will be at the start in my Corribee 21. Until then, I hope you will enjoy seeing these boats and hearing from their skippers as much as I do.

Jester Challenge 2008 - Alexi Fedoruk
Meet the remarkable Russian single-hander Alexi Fedoruk, who rebuilt a wrecked Dragon-class yacht in Russia and sailed it non stop 1,200 miles to the UK to join the Jester Challenge to the Azores. Hear his story, see the boat, and enjoy the upbeat briefing for the other 34 entrants in their sub-30ft yachts.
