ring circuit testing
How to test a ring circuit in the uk. We look at end to end tests, r1+r2 tests, and r1+rn tests.
Ring circuit continuity is a dead test to prove continuity of ring final conductors. In this situation it is part of an eicr inspection, but is also part of initial verification when installing a ring final circuit.

Here we I attempt to demonstrate how electricians in medway gland off a steel wire armoured cable. The cable is a 7 core 1.5mm sea cable.
RCBO vs `Split load dual RCD
Переглядів 3,5 тис.2 роки тому
A comparison between RCBO and split load dual rcd consumer units. Here I attempt to explain the difference between the 2 fuse boards. both are 18th edition compliant consumer units, but which is best? split load rcd or RCBO?

The best demo of this ever!
helpful video. what he said about reverse video.
Fantastic. Saved my life removing the hot & cold water supply pipes. THANK YOU!
You’re very welcome
You are the best 👍🏻
Watching this so I can talk about electrical stuff to my friend
Very nicely demonstrated. Thanks.

Most perfect and nice job I have ever seen on youtube. Great job man. ❤❤❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Hi mate. I can't get the pipes out
thank you very much, That was a very helpful video
❤
Thank you, I'd actually reached this part of the job I was doing and needed to find the best way to strip the cable and fit the glands, problem solved!
Best video ive ever seen on this thankyou so much.
Spot on video. Really helpful for a Jr sparky 🎉
tell what to do without telling me what to do . thank you sir .
I think the video is flipped because it feels your tight it in reverse direction
Nb the clamping ring is thin side toward end of the cable, to match the slope of the clamping cone.
You made it look so easy
👍🏻
How to gland steel tape armoured?
Very helpful Thank you so much 🙏
First time doing one of these that was very helpful. Thank you
great video. straight to the point. thanks very much.
Excellent outstanding clip
Jai Ho 🙏🙏🙏

Hi,What name of the book?
Excellent video. Note to anyone confused with tightning direction: the camera has inverted the video (look at the t-shirt, everything is flipped) - so clockwise is anti-clockwise, and vice-versa.
cable gland shrouds are not allowed. water-pump pliers, really?
Terimakasih , tutorial yang sangat bermanfaat
Very helpful video 👍🏼
Wow. Thanks
Wow fantastic
Thank you for this
Just turn the mcb's back on one by one until you find the bad circuit, then you're in the same position you're in with the rcbo's?
If there's a small amount of earth leakage on a particular circuit, or cumulative leakage across multiple circuits, that wouldn't necessarily trip the RCD straightaway when turning the individual MCB back on... so unless you want to turn each MCB on individually and sit and wait for however long, the RCBO's seem to me the better choice? However, I'm about to buy a new house (if all goes to plan) which still has one of the old re-wireable fuse boxes in, so open to suggestions about which to install / whether the RCBO's are indeed worth the extra cash!
Not all earth faults are live to earth some are neutral to earth faults and on a split board all the neutrals are on a common bar for each RCD so once one circuit is energised the fault current can leak trough the effected circuit and trip the RCD.
@@iCharlie93 those old rewire-able boards tend to have very few circuits, make sense to install RCBO in most cases, make sure you get type A (or better), type AC should be considered not good enough.
Also swapped like for like very useful thanks!
Awesome video, im swapping out mine like for like and this is just what i needed!
Thank you, excellent video.
Good job
