My love and support for RIIZE and Shotaro will be forever. However, I cannot support a company that fails to protect its artists and succumbs to the pressure from a loud minority who want control over these artists as if they are objects, with methods of control involving bullying, death threats, and hatred, not only to the artist but to fellow fans. These people who call themselves fans are not fans. Otherwise, they would've honored the members' decision to keep Seunghan in the group.
I am currently participating in the boycott because we cannot let the company think that their behavior is acceptable nor ethical. I am no longer following their IG, TikTok, Twitter, and UA-cam accounts, and I have canceled all MD preorders (I had $400 worth... yikes). However, to be transparent, I will be attending MAMA Awards in LA because
1. It is not an SM event (it is CJ Ent.)
2. This whole situation must be so hard on the members so it is important to show them that international BRIIZEs will support them no matter what and shower them in love
3. It will be a good opportunity for OT7 voices to come together (respectfully of course. I don't want no chanting DURING their performance please, only focus on the members during the performance, but advocate before and after)
Anyways I still have pre-filmed content I wanted to post so here it is! And more to come! Although these days my heart has been so so heavy with everything going on...
