@@maximkosheleff Those are 100% cheated. The runs statistics makes no sense. For example, "top1" has multiplier of 76, that is almost double of what is possible, "top2" has extremely low multiplier of 14, and score so high in comparison, that they had to basically mine the whole map on wave 3-4 etc.

This run was done before last update that separated Furnace and Repellent a bit and added new bar for Repellent.

You mean map seed? If so, there is no map seeds. I just played so much in this game, that I'm really good at predicting where resources should be. That plus a lot of restarts, to find a good map.

This is one of Assessor special mining abilities, called Exploding Spheres. The other two are Reflect and Split Spheres.

Oh that is simple, to get a top score you need a good map seed, so you need to restart until you get it. Also, this run is really old and outdated (it is season 4 and we are in season 7 now). Later on, I started to cut out restarts.

I do pause to take screenshot and display it on second monitor when I use Cartography supplement, but in general predicting where iron is not that hard, the cobalt and water are an issue tho. I also pause because I stream sometimes and talk to people.

@zimny11 Right on. I finally broke the top 100 today using your strat. I'm currently ranked #78. The cobalt definitely seems to be the deciding factor on a run. That and how quickly all the gadgets and supplements can be acquired. Is your strategy broken down into levels. I noticed that you basically go straight down through the brown level and then break your strip mining into +-10 block sections through the blue, purple and green levels.

@@TautologyTechSystems Dunno if you know, but you can know where gadgets and supps will be with high precision. I do resources prediction method on first few layers and once I have all needed stuff I just go stripmine through the rest of the map (mostly).

@@zimny11 I've kind of figured out the gadget supplement pattern, but not very precise. I believe you said on another comment that they are supplements are 17 blocks horizontally from gadgets? But that seems to depend on how close the gadget is to the center?

@@TautologyTechSystems Gadgets are 15 blocks apart (90% of the time) and alternates sides of centerline, supps are 11-12 blocks (most of the time) below gadgets. Most of the time gadgets are quite close to centerline horizontally, while supps can be really anywhere, but a lot of the time they are closer to the map's edges.

Huh, would need to see a video of your run to give you some specific tips or suggestions. Also, take into consideration that I have hundreds of hours in this game and I know it inside out.

@zimny11 I really wish I could show you the run I just did. I can send a screen of the mini map, but I don't know how to record my runs. I have over 200 hours in the game, so I shouldn't be this bad. Lol. I'm currently ranked 127, and that was with the Assessor. I can't get near my high score using the Engineer.

Gadżety są oddalone od siebie o mniej więcej 15 bloków i są na przemian, po prawej lub lewej stronie linii środkowej. Suplementy są około 11 bloków poniżej gadżetów i też są na przemian.

@@zimny11 Thanks! it was the luckiest run of my life. everything went exactly perfect after an embarrassingly large number of attempts... so I have no hope in possibly doing any better haha. I started a few seasons ago and learned everything from studying your videos when I wanted to get more serious. gratz again on the awesome run!

We (especially mr. man) finally found a build for Assessor that works better than Engineer + Drones on this mode. It is still quite close, but so far it is clear Assessor will pull ahead.

@zimny11 it looks promosing thats for sure, you got a tad unlucky with this map, the high bedrock level in the middle of the map made the side drillers useless for the last layer, previous layers were pretty dang fast tho

@@chriro0960 Yea, bottom of the map was super unlucky. Sad that side drillers do not have ability to mine through bedrock :/

@@zimny11 You think they'll ever address that? maybe a purchasable upgrade? Of course, it will look pretty silly when the side drillers mine all the way out to the edge of the stage 🤣

@@BeheadedKamikaze I expect it will stay as it is. As annoying as it is, it also balances the Drilling Rig. And gives bedrock mining as a unique ability to only Engi.

Nevermind, you don't need the speed, I though the map bigger. Why leave when you did? You could have handled more waves. Maybe an IRL thing that took you away.

@@Arlano76 The shield upgrade is simply not really necessary, since sending resources early on is way better for score. And I ended the run since my multiplier dropped to zero. Next one cost a ton of cobalt and there is simply not enough of it on the map to send again. So further waves would give me zero points anyway.

@@zimny11 Oh, I didn't notice the multiplier. I'm gonna look it up, I didn't know it could drop.

@@Arlano76 It this mode it does drops by 1 each wave, this is why it is called Countdown :)

When tree grows it breaks all blocks around it in 3x3 space, so it broke this iron. I miss-plant the tree, but didn't want to spent more time on it. Thanks!

After last buff I would say it is worth it. It was of course always worth it in Endless and Provocation, and after the buff I think it all modes. Tree planted on even wave 10 it is still 20-30 iron, where iron is most important resources in Miner Mode. That is one: faster rise of base value, two: probably +1 base on the whole run. My guess is: even better would be to also take Converter and change water to iron for this mode.

Thanks! I noticed drones are far more efficient if you get supp for packer first. I was considering drill second, but decided against it to keep drones busy. Probably it would work too, since with it you can go for 3rd supp faster. Yes, I have a screenshot open on the second monitor :D

Thanks! Sorry, but no audio, I tried it in the past once and it was too stressful. Plus I was unable to focus on playing and talking at the same time. It was a good run, the block hardness was really on my side :)

Relic Hunt, but this is category of speedrunning that allows use of in-game modifiers (and starting the run with one gadget). Here I'm using: No Monsters, Mass Iron, Long Cycles and Triple Supplements.

I was so upset XD Supplements should make the same sound when they are mined as gadgets, but due to a bug they don't, I forgot about it and was 100% sure it was a relic switch.

Thanks! That depends on keeper you want to play, and also stuff changed for season 7 (current one), since Tesla got a bit nerfed. I would recommend Sword and Shield, as best setup now, or even Tesla + Shield (as well as Sword/Tesla + Drones should be ok-ish). For Engineer I can recommend: grab Iron Worms (slow path for a lot of iron) and Converter (to convert iron to cobalt), then goes stuff to help you mine/transport. If you play with Shield then Lift with supp and Prospecting Meter (or Resource Packer.) If you play with Drones, then Underground Station with supp and Resource Packer. Last goes stuff to help you fight: Spire and Hammer with supp. First supp you want is Power Drill, then one for Lift or Station, next supp for main weapon (Bomb for Sword or Timing for Tesla). Next for dome, Combat Repair is the best but it is hard to use, so Resurrection would be easier. Last is supp for Hammer. There are some other important stuff, like knowing how to use mineral tree and efficient mining pattern. Setup for Assessor should be stronger, so if you want to know that one, let me know. I can recommend watching mr. man or Crack_Eggs for some top Endless play, they both got +500K least season. I'm not that interested in 6h runs :P Good luck!

​@@zimny11 well that basicaly what i have appart for the timming sup for the Tesla, already playing with drones and iron worms, since i dont realy like the Assessor i'm using the enginer. Can i swap the resource packer with the prospecting metter ? Cause Cobalt is a strugle xD in the High end waves ( 40+). I always play with dome resurection just in case i'm not here when the wave is comming and i take a lot of damage. Spire and hammer are my go to, and for the seed i alwaus get the firts water and coblat node that spawn near the entrence of the dome. TLDR I think that a skill issue on my end since i've already play with what you've said ( Enginier, Drone, Tesla resource converter, Lift cause SPEED xD Hammer and spire)

@@MrArthurdu84 Well all top prestige players have hundreds of hours in the game, most of those are in prestige, so comparing yourself to that always would be harsh, no matter the game. I would suggest to use iron to cobalt conversion from the start, with iron worms and drones you should have plenty of iron to do that. Another thing I can recommend is to play Provocation, not for the score, but to practice how to fight on top level, since you can rise difficulty fast there and practice as much as you want.

Probably not, Laser is the weakest dome in the game (since it is the easiest to use). Also Laser does not have a good synergy with Shield abilities.

Probably at some point I will, but it is way longer mode than Miner Mode or Countdown, so I need to find time for time. You could look for mr. man runs on Provocation. He had WR last season and holds WR right now for this one.
