This is one of the best explanations of the importance of the Five Skandhas as the process of shaping the mind to either promote “suffering” or, “well being” as the liberation from suffering. It’s worth replaying several times to capture all the good concepts. Ultimately, the process of the Five Skandhas determines if we are on the path of distorted perceptions and unrealistic expectations, which are the cause of constant conflict and suffering, or are we on the 8 fold path of understanding the reality of impermanence, non self, and the negative aspects of greed, and choosing the “right” options in life that reinforce thinking and doing the right things. When we’ve let go of clinging to the wrong perceptions, we become liberated; nirvana.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad you found the explanation of the Five Skandhas insightful. You've captured beautifully how understanding and working with these aggregates can influence our path towards either suffering or liberation. It's indeed a profound aspect of Buddhist teaching that requires deep contemplation and practice. Keep exploring these concepts, and may your journey on the Eightfold Path lead to further clarity and peace.

Interesting. Question, why is there the need to talk bad about others to make feel better. I thought this was about why Buddhism but it as an attack on religion which is opposite to what Buddha said, according to what mentioned at the beginning. Buddhism is so wonderful it doesn’t need to use this type of comparisons to sound better.

Thank you for your feedback. You're right in highlighting that Buddhism teaches respect and understanding, not competition with other beliefs. The intention wasn't to belittle other traditions but rather to emphasize the unique aspects of Buddhism. It’s important to approach these discussions with a spirit of openness and learning, focusing on the teachings rather than comparisons. I appreciate your reminder of this core principle.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. In Buddhism, suffering is indeed often linked to the idea of an "overself" or a fixed identity, which leads to attachment and ultimately suffering. The concept that we voluntarily engage with these attachments is a powerful reminder of our role in perpetuating our own suffering. It's a call to mindfulness and awareness, to see if we can choose differently and move towards liberation from these cycles.

why god created the world. Why is god infinite. Who is god. Why he/she/it exists. And we living in this created world end up suffering so much. Why woudl god create such a world, it makes no sense. So better answer is, according to buddha, that god did not create this world. This world has always existed and consciousness has always existed. So we conscious beings must try to escape from this cycle. Ofcourse that still doesn't answer why this cycle exists. Why consciousness exists. Why the world/universe exists. No one ever has answered these questions so it seems no one( not jesus, buddha, mohammad, etc.) knows and all religions, and philosophies are lies.

to understand the teachings of the Buddha, we need knowledge (energy, atoms, psychology and others) taught in modern science. even dharma is a universal natural law. so it is not wrong for some people to consider the teachings of the Buddha in line with modern knowledge. especially since the average human is not an arahant. maybe one thing that is not taught in modern science is anatta. the difference in perspective. (the observer)- If it is not in line with natural law (modern knowledge), how can we prove that Buddhist understanding is true?

Yep if we live in fear, anxiety, depressed, angry we will continue that state when we die. Must work on finding peace within to get to that state we call heaven. It’s not that good deeds will get us to heaven. It’s because when we do good deeds that action causes us to feel good, feel like bliss. That state we feel is heaven. And when we do something horrible, that action causes us to feel guilt that feeling is hell.
