My NB10000 started swelling and expanded last week. I got a refund with Amazon. I would recommend a powerbank with an aluminium shell instead so that it's less likely to expand.

@@TorchHackersame with my nb10000 3rd gen. Made a return to shop. Sadly, coz i liked the size and form factor. So now considering the Klarus carbon. Really hope it will not have the same swelling problems.

@@toolsaholic I've kind of lost trust in the ultralight powerbank design. I honestly think that the frame and case need to be made out of something stronger like aluminium so that there's less risk of damaging the LiPo inside by crushing it or bending the frame.

Yeah, it seemed pretty laid back. Staff were getting through the work that they needed to. They didn't seem rushed.

I'd probably pick the LOOP SK05 Pro with Nichia emitters and the holster because it has a bigger capacity compared to the X2 Pro. The SK05 is bigger but it fits in my pocket easily along with a wallet and keys.

SK05 Pro sample has a direct drive driver while the final version has constant current so it'll sustain the output for longer.

I ordered the same RGB from Wubuen and just got an email saying it will not be sent out to the end of February I'm assuming those versions are still in production for another month 🤷🏻‍♂️

@paultyler5313 People might be going on holiday for 14 days over Chinese New Year. Factories and other services shutdown. They could try to keep working but suppliers and other companies that they work with may be on holiday. So it makes sense for everyone to align their breaks.

I don't know enough about the Acebeam W35 to say for certain. Two reviews did not measure the current for Turbo. Turbo might perform better for the first 10 minutes with this cell due to the higher max CDR if the driver is pulling 10 to 15A but I'm not sure what the current is. Thermal limiting might decrease the output if it gets hot faster by sustaining a higher output.

Yeah, it reaches about 8,000 lumens for short bursts and it gets pretty hot. I posted a graph on my blog showing how long it takes to wait until you can hit LUMIN SHIELD (Turbo) and how long it lasts each time you try to re-activate it.

More than likely due to heat, the edc27, and 29 get really hot, I’m sure it’s more of a safety

The included battery has reverse polarity protection. But I used an unprotected flat top 18650 cell with the 18650 extension tube. This issue was noticed with the E7-B1 driver. It looks like E7-B2 and E7-B3 (found near the spring) are ok.

I should add: When I want to enjoy coffee, I use a french press with freshly ground coffee. 😉

The cathode material might be different. Lithium manganese oxide for 3.6V cells and Lithium cobalt oxide for 3.7V cells. 3.6V cells may have a slightly lower terminal voltage and a larger capacity while 3.7V may have a higher terminal voltage and a smaller capacity. That said, companies might market the capacity in Wh and 3.7V may produce a higher Wh on paper compared to 3.6V. So there could be genuine reasons for a cell being 3.6V or 3.7V, or someone could do it for marketing purposes.

@TorchHacker I was thinking maybe it's the cathode but both my Samsung 50E and Vapcell N40 are INR cells but different voltage, the 50E is a 3.7v and the N40 says it's a 3.6v. Who knows.
