I hated the twists at the end. Human trafficking made way more sense than faking deaths and plastic surgery. I guessed Hayley was alive but who she ended up being was so weird. And then asking Meg to join them doesn’t make sense. Join them for what??? I think a better twist would have been to make Dr. Max the real mastermind

Started this book tonight - just finished Act 1…I’m enjoying it but wondering what direction Lisa is going with….

I didn’t like it ending in the middle of the story either, there wasn’t even a hint of a feeling of this is the end of the book. I do want to read the sequel but I hated the ending and what the authors did to Lee’s character. He felt so likeable in the beginning and middle but then at the end I was just so mad at his decisions.

I read Funny Story and I loved it! I read Booklovers and enjoyed it but I didn’t like Happy Place so I didn’t know how I was gonna like this but I devoured it!

How Can I Help You was NOTHING like I expected! It’s so dark. And Look Closer is so so good. One of my faves ever - it blew me away. I enjoyed it throughout but by the end, I was like, what just happened?!?!

I like almost all of Lisa Jewels' books. She is such a great speaker, I got tp see her at an event in Hudson (oh) a few years ago. My son went with me and she signed all my books! I could listen to her all day. I have the Villa to read ..it may have to move up in the TBR list.
