Forever Chet and After You've Gone CAAS 2021
Hope this stays up long enough to learn it!
Smashed it guys. 👌
Great show, also great "on stage, live" reunion of two big guitar masters (Chet and Paul) & one of the nicest Country Band, Roy Acuff's musicians. Thanks for sharing. Jo (France)
Anyone knows the name of the first tune? Thanks in advance!
One of my favorite tunes that Chet recorded. As Eddie said, it was written by Jerry Reed who was a master at writing funky, melodic, darn near impossible to play guitar tunes. Ya done good Eddie !!! 😊
Just caught your porch performance released Feb. 2024 👍 from Santa Barbara, 2fishes }<))°><°((>{ now subscribed
Shout out from another guitar-weilding hairless porch monkey from Santa Barbara! My favorite venue, and these boys are gitten er done! Good on ya "G" man for sharing 👏
very nice, thank you and greetings from germany :)
What's the name of the tune Paul starts playing at 8 minutes in?
chattiness is nice
Oh yeah!
🌈👏
Good job! This is from Work It Out With Chet Atkins, C.G.P. (1983) album.
I'm so glad you followed your dreams from so long ago as kids. Keep up the wonderful sounds that give so many of us pleasure.
This is great, thank you so much!😊
I'll be HOME for Christmas
I just wished the audio was better.
I inherited some of this man’s gear. An echoplex that Chet gave to him in 84’ amongst other things. 😃
I loved hearing him talk about Gretsch guitars even though I, personally, could never get one to sound the way I like a guitar to sound. My favorite LP by Chet is Guitar Country where he got a beautiful sound out of his Country Gent.
Sounds like Chet!
Great!!!
Well done. Thank you brother.
I enjoyed every minute of this Eddie!
Years of playing with Jerry, Chet, and not. Near enough accolades, yet could play with anybody
Someone bop this man for pulling the camera away from the guitar during the Jerry reed song
Such a wonderful player. What exact Ovation guitar is that?
Hi Brenda.... closer
Never saw a guy who wanted to be Chet Atkins so bad as Paul. There was only 1 Chet and he is dead. Sorry, Paul! Also, Reed ruined Chet's style with that herky-jerky finger peddling picking and made it so that Chet stopped studying and producing his own music and advancing himself.
I don't see him as wanting to be Chet Atkins at all. But I think he saw himself as the chief curator of all things related to Chet and his style of playing. Nothing wrong with that....he was Chet's right-hand man for years and accumulated more knowledge about him than anyone. Chet admired the heck out of Jerry Reed and recorded so many of Jerry's compositions.
If Chet is not the greatest I don’t know is who is Hey was the best, they don’t make and can’t find gentleman like that today, So gracefully in every way
Ce les morceaux que j,ai plus préféré
I saw him in Nashville in 1988 at CAAS giving a seminar great guy all the questions to him were about Chet Paul answered every one with pride and a smile on his face a great experiance for me .
Made my day just come across this thanks
That was the first year I attended CAAS and finally met Paul in person. He treated me like we'd been friends for years. I feel blessed to have known him.
💗💖💝💘❣❣💟😘
Lots of fun with these boys! Good friends and great pickers.
These videos are great! Paul Yandell is one of my favorites.
It is so great to have this video and hear from Paul! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Big Paul Yandell 😊
I know Paul said he didnt want it on youtube but I have this stuff and it needs to be seen and not forgotten!
So pleased to see this footage of Paul at CAAS 2006. I had never seen this before today and so humbled that Paul mentions me. He was a real talent and sadly missed. Best wishes, Trevor Rabey
This is precious! Thanks for sharing.
This is the only time I ever heard Paul Yandell laugh. Saw him a couple of times at the Chet festival and he was always very sullen it seemed.
Excellent, thank you!
This is just great. Thanks for sharing
