I've avoided the dreaded vhs transfer until now ..but watching op ivy on UA-cam today is making me realize I need to put my archivist hat on, and put up some of the live show bootlegs I bought on VHS. Everything from minor threat to Legendary Pink dots live in Texas 1987.

This brings me way back. Witchypoo! I was lucky enough to grow up in Olympia, WA and interned for K Records (Calvin Johnson) in high school and had affiliations with Kill Rock Stars (Slim Moon). Bands like Unwound, Tight Bros from Way Back When, Fitz of Depression, KARP, and even the Melvins were part of the scene. Lots of shows in super small venues and a really fun music scene all around! I was a riot grrl, so i followed Bikini Kill, Bratmobile, Bangs, Sleater-Kinney, etc, it was like girls against boys back in the late 90's 😅
