I’m currently assigned to a Jackson tamper, I haven’t been able to get consistent training or time in the seat. I’m still trying to figure out the settings inside the cab. Can you do a video where you are lining rail and surfacing rail. Please explain why and what you’re doing and when pressing buttons and what light goes to each gauge. Your videos do help a lot, so thank you
There’s hardly a shine to the rail, was this line being brought back to service or was this a siding picked to make this training video? Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for the video. I am a Jackson tamper operator. Just getting some much needed refresher points. Ever helpful. Any possibility of getting a video for the Dyna Cat and Tripple head tampers
Thanks for providing the training video for the more current generation of 6700 tamper. Very interesting and excellent explanation of the controls with the newer computer and joy stick controls. Thanks...
Thanks for providing this excellent training video of the more current generation of Jackson 6700. In my opinion, the most reliable M/W machine out there. As a locomotive engineer I like running on smooth well aligned track and this machine does that. Always been fascinated by these tie, surfacing and rail machines.

How do you determine how many spacer buggies you need?
Are you gonna show any videos on how to set up the machine to tamp a curve?
Anymore videos
Did you go into switch mode
Yes while tamping a switch but sometimes you'll be in production mode also.
Best informative video I've seen
We have 12 laser powered units on our Loram LG-1000. Each one produces 100000 watts to burn and etch the track, no need for grinding.
who fills the voids in after?
Ballast Regulator fills the track back in
@@kelaro75 i mean in this instance. a regi profiles the ballast there already. this track needs sooooo much
@@longbar2344 its probably some shitty yard track where they demonstrate how to operate the machine 😆 i doubt they'd do this on the Main line track..
@@devindawson1533 thought most of their track was crap. never see any good u.s track
That's awesome
