That cake looks so delicious, and pairing it with a cup of coffee seems like the perfect match. It even made me want to bake one myself. I also love staying at home, and I feel so grateful to be able to work from home. Oh, and I can totally relate to having a lot of hair, it takes forever to dry, haha. Here we love a quiet day pottering at home on the weekend or getting out on a country walk or exploring some local national trust places. Understand the hair anxiety- I actually decided to stop colouring my hair last year and am so happy not to have the constant maintenance, I'm only 37 but started going grey in my 20s! Feels a brave statement but its nice to just be me and not worry so much about it anymore. I really liked the plant baskets they add warmth and texture to the room. Shame about the rugs as they would have looked lovely. I sadly seem to kill houseplants but I do love some on my kitchen windowsill alongside candles while washing up and always love fresh or faux flowers.

Lovely vlog. I try to live a slow and seasonal life with my family. As a mum of 3 it can be hard to find the calm moments but being intentional and mindful really helps. We recently moved from a UK city to a smaller town in Wiltshire and we are loving the greener spaces. On our walk to school we admire the winter sunrise, frost/snow, fields in the distance, bird song and the holly berries etc in people's gardens. At home i like to get cosy in these colder days with blankets and fairy lights or candles and bring in the seasons with natural decor or fresh flowers. Really glad i found your channel while searching for other slow living inspiration

I recently turned 50 and am from Canada and I don't know if it's age, or the fact my kids are grown and no longer needing me like they used to, but all of a sudden I too am noticing my surroundings, appreciating being outside regardless of how cold it is, etc. My sister is eight years younger than me and I'm always trying to tell her to embrace slow living, but with three younger kids she doesn't quite get it. I so wish I had slowed down many years ago and enjoyed the art of slow living and finding joy in the magic of ordinary days. I'm new to your channel and your message resonates with me so thank you!

I start my day with a lovely walk and I take my coffee with me and listen to an uplifting podcast. It starts my day off so well! I never used to be slow living either! I have learnt over time how precious everyday is and by taking everything much slower, makes the mind calmer. slow living is very good for mental health in my opinion, it keeps us grounded and tuned in to the beautiful Earth that we are all experiencing together. Watching vlogs like yours Cher is also very calming and takes one away from all the noise elsewhere. I totally agree with decluttering the things you no longer need, it is so satisfying to the mind, and gives you more space to think clearly. sarah hill xx

I have become more mindful since moving to the coast as there are so many markers of the year - when certain birds appear, when the ice cream kiosk opens for the first time, the illuminations switch on meaning the end of summer, all these little moments.

Cher, I really like your calm and mindful energy 😊 Tent camping was a great experience we did for 18 years 1-3x/year. Our son loved learning about the outdoors and now he organises nice hikes during our family trips. Just stumbled upon your channel, I’m an American in Michigan, very cold place typically by a huge lake, my Mother is from Boston Massachusetts also quite cold famous for their Nor’easter storms. Have you tried the anti fog spray on your glasses? Not sure how effective it is but have seen it in shops. Might be worth a try to help the steaming up in the bath. Nothing more relaxing than a soak in the bath with a good book 📕
