What in the wii channel music is this
Amazing video! Keep up the great work!
A year after that Smiley for Neagle deal, the aforementioned Smiley would leave for a big contract with Cincinnati. The Twins would take future all star and gold glove centerfielder Torii Hunter with the compensation pick.
Dude speak into the mic please. But also Adrian is a pitcher I’ve been following for a bit
Yes, too low on the mic, speak up bro, your content is good but if I cannot hear you, I'll bounce.
Steve Avery should also get a video. 20 game winning lefty who fell off.
He’s on my list of players to cover at some point 👍🏽
I was not expecting an Adrian Morejon video on my feed but I will gladly watch it
Just discovered your channel. This video is the first of tours I've watched but so far so good. You got a new sub here. Can't wait to check out some of the older videos and new ones in the future. Keep up the good work and you'll get more subs.
Nice
This dude sounds like Bill Barnwell!
18:22 had me thinking this was the "school system" guy for a moment
Cal Quantrill 2021/9-4,2022-15-5, Mike Clevenger 2021- On the IL. 2022-7-7.
Best year of my childhood! Awesome video
I'm a Dodgers fan and this was a joy to watch! Wished the 98 team would've beaten those Yankees. Gwynn deserved a ring.
Nothing on Steve Garvey??
Steve Garvey retired in 1987, so he just missed the timeline. if I was covering the 1984 Padres, he would definitely be included
as a true blue dodgers fan, this was fun to watch. i enjoyed it. i remember the 1998 world series. my heart broke for SD when the lost to the evil empire
Great video! Always wondered about the 90s Padres teams that eventually got them to the World Series. No idea that the 98 Kevin Brown season is number 1 in Padres history - Diamondbacks fans got pretty spoiled early on seeing 5 pitching seasons better than that from two pitchers in their first 5 seasons. Absolutely love the music used too
You people are not smart.idiots throw,catch,hit, run.sad
Love the video, bro. Keep it up!
Yanks in four. I was there.
Settle down Vito
Really well done video, loved the music choices too.
I wished they won
This is how you know Yankee Stadium is/was a Little League park: Tony Gwynn hit a bomb off the second deck.
Let's go, love the Dres. Good work buddy
Outstanding video and music to from the time. Earned my subscription.
For those wondering about Troy Glaus in the notable draftee list, the Padres drafted him out of Carlsbad HS but he went on to play for UCLA and won Olympic Bronze with Team USA. The Angels took him in the first round of the 1997 draft.
11:15 That Pedro Martinez or a different one?
It was not THE Pedro Martinez. The Pedro Martinez in the trade pitched in 122 games between 1993-97 with the Padres, Astros, Mets, and Reds. Both debuted within a calendar year of each other, pretty wild stuff
This video is so well done 👍 Love the way you've used baseball cards in your graphics. Got all nostalgic.
I'm glad the cards provided some nostalgia, that era of baseball cards is really good
Well done
Need more of these
this video was absolutely incredible. I wish you nothing but success in the future my man.
the more you know.
Dang im suprised you only have 100 subs this video felt like a 100k sub channel good content
That's so kind of you, thank you!
You were right about the Mariners-Rays trading, but I thought Randy would get dealt in the offseason
Diaz to me felt like a better fit but Randy certainly fills a need for Seattle. And I had Randy as an offseason trade candidate too, although the Rays probably felt they could cash in now while he's on fire at the plate and still on this season's contract
Don’t think the Braves trade is realistic just because every team is needs him long term will pay more even tho the deal is even also the diamondbacks just got aj puk so that didn’t age well
About the Braves deal, it's a hypothetical but I will agree that whomever gets Rooker will probably pay more than that. And as for Arizona, oh whale, although Puk is actually a sneaky good addition
Do the dodgers and giants not trade with each other very often like the Red Sox and yankees?
True, they don't do it often at all, hence why it was something of a long shot as mentioned. Giants president Farhan Zaidi worked with the Dodgers before going to SF so it seemed like something to go off of, kinda grasping at straws since the Dodgers are linked to so many players for trades
Braves fan here, I don't think the A's make that trade with the Braves. It's more likely that the Braves trade for Pillar than Rooker
That’s a valid point. I could see Pillar being a good fit for the Braves, especially defensively👍🏽
@@StatNerdBaseball plus there will be teams willing to give up a better haul for Rooker
Jesus loves you
great video!
great video! honestly as a rangers fan after seeing this hoping we sell unless we basically win out until the deadline
Great stuff! Easy sub
I don’t think the white Sox will give up crochet, fedde, and Pham without getting a single top 3 prospect from either team
As a Braves fan this is a horrible trade and not worth it. They would be the A's in the Matt Olson trade
They also need a upgrade at LF I like Melendez I just think he needs a trip to AAA or just a Change of scenery
Possibly. I do see them needing outfield depth, hence the inclusion of Bryan De La Cruz. But I could see someone like Jesus Sanchez or (perhaps) Jazz Chisholm being a fit for the Royals.
This makes no sense for the Braves at all. Braves need a left handed hitter, not a right handed hitter, as they have Adam Duvall who's producing a 145 wRC+ and .420 xwOBA against left handers this year, along with Ramon Laureano who hits left handers as well, plus both are better defensive outfielders than Pham. Also Braves have Spencer Schwallenbach who's 3.57 FIP and 3.63 xFIP are just as good if not better than Fedde's 3.59 FIP and 3.80 xFIP, along with guys like Ian Anderson and AJ Smith-Shawver who are coming back in the next couple weeks who could also fill that 5th spot in the rotation. So unless there's something for a left handed outfielder who hits right handed pitching, and potentially a shortstop, it probably doesn't make sense.
I do appreciate the feedback! I wrote the script about 10 days ago, before Schwallenbach found his footing, so I didn't foresee his strong form as of late. Laureano just went on the IL, so they might need another bat that can hit lefties. Thank you for the reasoning too, that's the kind of stuff I like to see in my comments. Have a great one!
@@StatNerdBaseball Even pre-10 days ago, Schellenbach had a 3.40 FIP and 3.80 xFIP, so his FIP was even better, while his xFIP was equal to Fedde's. But not only that, Ian Anderson's rehab stint from Tommy John ends the 17th (30 day rehab), which is a week from now, and Smith-Shawver should be close behind, so both should be options should they need either after the All-Star break. Also Laureano's isn't needed over the next 4 games, then it's the All-Star break, plus they have Eli White on the roster who produced a 128 wRC+ overall, hitting .300 /.370 /.575 with a .393 xwOBA against left handers in Gwinnett, along with producing a 125 wRC+ so far in the few games he's been up in Atlanta so far. They don't need right handed bats.
I'll gladly take Fedde in Atlanta but they can pass on Pham. They need a left handed RF more than another righty.
Fedde does feel like a Braves kind of move, but as for the outfield bat, I made a video a while ago with options too
@@StatNerdBaseball they need someone to cover innings and potentially start a postseason game. Fedde fits that and comes with another year of control.
@@StatNerdBaseball Braves don't need Fedde, Braves have Spencer Schwallenbach who's 3.57 FIP and 3.63 xFIP are just as good if not better than Fedde's 3.59 FIP and 3.80 xFIP, along with guys like Ian Anderson and AJ Smith-Shawver who are coming back in the next couple weeks.
@@MassBoost agree with Schwelly but I don’t think we will see Ian until his velo comes back
Not really the clubhouse guy they’d bring in either
Braves don't make this trade, neither do the White Sox. The Braves are giving up a lot to not get much better. Pham is not the clubhouse guy the Braves usually get and his 104 OPS+ isn't worth the headache. This whole trade from the Braves perspective is a sideways move at best. The White Sox wouldn't even get a single top 100 prospect in this trade! They're going to get at least 2 if they trade Crochet. This trade only makes sense for the Padres.
You make some valid points, I can concede a few there. My concern with Crochet is whether he will have an innings limit, and what his durability may be. I've seen reports that the White Sox are valuing him as a No. 1 starter while other teams may see more risks. However, I will concede about the Top 100 prospect acquisition, because GMs will try to outbid one another in the Crochet market. Thanks for the comment and have a good one!
PABLO SANCHEZ???
Yeah, I thought it made for a good outro lol
Padres get so much more than the white soxs in this trade
