Thank you for saving the kitty! The Mother of Jesus, Our Blessed Mother, when she was young her pet was a cat.I have also a cat and I am doing volunteer, in our community, feeding the homeless cat. I have a breast cancer before stage 3, I thank God! Now I am very healthy and still continuing feeding all the cat in our community! Cats have Avery strong spirit! I love all of them! 😊😊😊 Thank you!

When reaching out to pet him or brush him, don't reach your hand out & over his head. Many cats hate that because they can't see what's coming at them. Instead just hold out your hand in front of his face and let him come to you to sniff your hand. Then once he knows what you're doing, you can reach out and pet him. Coming in over the top of his head like that scares him, makes him anxious, and makes him avoid your hand/brush. Slow down your movements with the bird toy, and let him catch it occasionally (yes, his nails will snag the toy, but keep his nails trimmed & buy him replacement toys once they get destroyed 😊). Cats enjoy cozy spaces, how about a couple other places for him to sit & observe the humans? Some really like sitting in high places where they feel more in control, can be aware of their surroundings, away from too much noise/movement. It can help Softie relax and not be so skittish. Just some ideas I had while watching 😊. Read up on cat expressions & behaviors, as I can tell you are unfamiliar with what they mean. Just a friendly tip! Thank you for saving Softie and giving him a good life!
