Great little hobby for me and the kids. I sometimes get out and about when i get the chance. Thought i might pop some videos online for other people to see what its all about. And also for the kids to look back on their silly dad. If you have any old properties that your happy for me to search please let me know or you have lost something precious, i may be able to help...

Yea you need a shovel lol and an all steel nursery spade … I mean w.e gets it done
Enjoyed the video always fascinating to see what comes up
Some nice finds well done
ua-cam.com/video/6LT9E__W_RI/v-deo.html
You technically want to wrap trash bags or plastic and put a little bit of water inside around root ball to hold moisture in so it doesn't dry in the Sun cuz it might take you longer than you expect
Nice video
When you planted the clump of black next to the tree in your garden, aren't you worried the roots of the bamboo are going to compete with the tree, possibly killing the tree?
✌✌✌❤
Great finds enjoyed the video

What about an update
WoW got to hand it to you that you are a hard worker. My father customised a large steel pipe to the shape of a two shovels one wider than post hole crow bar the other more for shaping the hole then welded them onto a galvanized water pipe so had a smooth surface. He used them for rural fencing. The great benefit is the weight and how it cuts through the soil. I liked your slide tool idea, necessity is the motherhood of invention. Use Load binders to tie the bamboo and the bamboo to the trolley. You certainly wouldn't have to go to the Gym for a work out after this job.
👍👍👍👍👍🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️

👌💕Great video, very informative, Thanks for sharing
Imagine Making Your Own CB Antenna By Growing IT ? Blessings From Birmingham England Bro :)
It's a Ravenia Palm (Majesty Palm)... Bottle palm is different..
Wow! - such a lot of work! Have no idea why the lady did not want the bamboo?- Looked great where it was. Shame you don't have an assistant to help you with filming and wrapping the corms up in wet towels or something. You did such an excellent job! Well done! And your garden is what I would love to have. Hope you never have to move! I saw your other video with the black bamboo and was looking to see how the progress was with the transplant because I'm in the process of separating some small bamboo I have in pots.
Any updates? What season dead this done in?
Awesome video!! Love to see more bamboo videos
hello there , can you tell me the species of black bamboo please , looks really nice
I believe it’s called Bambusa lako
@@joshual574 It's either Bambusa lako or Gigantochloa atroviolacea. The two are very similar in appearance (B. lako reportedly tends to be more vertical in growth, with glossier culms that are slower to turn completely black, as a mature plant), and recent research indicates that they are so closely related that B. lako is actually the Timorese subspecies of Gigantochloa atroviolacea. Both are commercially available in Australia, and in Florida and California in the US, and G. atroviolacea is sold as Java Black Bamboo, Black Asper (which correctly refers to Dendrocalamus asper 'Betung Hitam') or Tropical Black Bamboo. D. asper can attain heights exceeding 65 feet (20 meters) as a mature plant under ideal conditions, while G. atroviolacea and B. lako rarely exceed 35 feet (10 meters). Both are tropical, cold sensitive clumpers that shoot mainly in late summer and fall. The other black bamboo is any of several cultivars of Phyllostachys nigra, a warm temperate late spring shooting running bamboo that generally takes longer (two full years) for the young green culms to turn solid black. The black cultivars of P. nigra rarely exceed 30 feet in height, and have smaller, less drooping foliage, and distinctly tiered branches, as compared to B. lako and G. atroviolacea.,
@@motherlandbot6837 Wao ! U r good !!!
Hi mate, how'd you go with the clumps and cutting propagation?
Majesty palm not a bottle dumb dumb
Got any updates on how the cuttings and bamboo shoots have done since then? I just got this species and am interested in how it grows.
Nice looking palm. What ever it is.
Try to water it before, make it much easiest
I like your vibe, man. I'm in southern Idaho, USA. Where are you at? I'd love to see a video with a little bit about your area!! Liked and Subscribed!
Thanks very much. I have heaps of videos on our trip around Australia we took with our girls. Check the chosen music for each clip.. ua-cam.com/video/TWw4kLbtsU8/v-deo.html
Absolutely adorable. Dad and his helper. As a 47 year old Dad of 3 teenagers, 17, 17, and 18, I sorta miss the days of innocence that the kids had at that age. You are building memories that will last forever.
Thanks for the ki d words. Its the reason i make videos at all.. for the kids when im gone😁
Agree. Majesty palm. Not even close guys!
That's a Majesty palm, not a bottle palm.
SO ARE YOU IN NSW ??
Here across the pond a 40 comes up a quarter. Nice video tho I enjoyed it
Thats a great find straight up, that hair clip looks to be late 1800s to early 1900s. Should be some more old coins and relics hiding in there! Happy Fossicking! Warren.
Thanks Warren, I didn't think anyone was watching the videos.. Must say i enjoy kicking back at bedtime and watching some NQ adventure finds. I am simply amazed at how many views some people get in a short time... is there a secret to having alot of traffic.. i keep thinking it must just be boring titles or something.. anyway......This weekend i am heading to the ocean with a new Minelab Excalibur. I Used to dive every weekend and am loving the thought of searching under the water for odds and sods.. I do as much research on my finds as possible but you seem to know plenty about the areas that you are in and also how to find them hidden away in the bush. Can i ask you where you locate your information from. I have alot of trouble finding old maps of areas... Cheers Wayne
No worries Wayne, and yes it takes a long time to build subs and views these days (UA-cam is more favoured to the huge channels than it once was 5 or 6 years ago). I do use a lot of old books I have collected over the years, plus try your library for limited edition local histories or out of print stuff. Usually these will have maps etc. And the older members of the community are always helpful. Every time I fly into Sydney I look at that scrub and sand dunes around Kurnell and can't help thinking of all the convicts and soldiers that have been around there since 1788 - would be worth a wander in there I reckon? Cheers mate. Warren.
Very interesting find with some good detective work thrown in as well. Barbie helped make it sparkle.
What a terrific treasure hunting duo! :) Been contemplating getting either the X-Terra 305 or the Garret ACE 400i. Same price where I live. Do you happen to have any experience with both?
Hey there Mythricia, Cant say that i have. After using the Extarra for quite a while now, there are a couple of things i would advise on... ( i you end up getting one) Keep the sounds setting on '99 tones'. You become extremely clever at hearing the right pitch and signal strength after a while.. I can usually tell whether or not it is a coin or a deep can now... you will always dig trash to begin with. and it frustrated me at first, but you will soon settle in with practice and begin to master the signals...
History Down Under Thank you for the advice! I'm pretty sure I'll be going for the XTerra after all, so it'll come to good use. Cheers, and happy continued hunting :)
do you also have the 305 or the 505
I have the 305 only.. great little machine when you master it... i am looking at getting an AT PRO or the CTX 3030
cool
cool video. what coil are you using, and how is it improved over the standard xterra 305 coil? thanks.
The larger coil is a deaper one but most beach coins are shallow anyway. it does help cover larger reas faster... bit heavier but the arms dont mind.. :)
It’s a Coiltek 15” DD coil
minelab ole
