On a beautiful summer day, a friend invited me to try playing the piano. I became intrigued, and despite having no musical talent or theoretical knowledge, I decided to learn how to play. While I'm not classically trained, the piano has since become a beloved hobby of mine. I created this channel to build my own music library as my journey goes on.
Welcome to Noire's Atelier - my personal music library, and I hope you enjoy it!
I use a very old acoustic piano, a 1973-manufactured Yamaha U3 (that’s more than half a century ago), the sound is well… obviously not as good as new piano, and I record everything at my home.
I started Piano in May 29, 2024 and completed beginner training in Nov 7, 2024. Uploaded my first piano video on Oct 7, 2024.

千本桜 Senbonzakura (Acoustic Piano Ballade)
Welcome to my music library, this video marks my 7th month of playing piano. Use headphone for the best experience and feedback is always welcomed.
If you are looking for a fast version (the original version) of Senbonzakura, then it looks like you may not find it here :D. The original version of Senbonzakura is way beyond the ability of a 7-month experience pianist like me. May be I'll see it in future, but definitely not today.

Awesome! Its pretty unbelievable that you only started playing 6 months ago. Hats off
Thank you 🫶

Thank you very much for this cover. its amazing!

My favourite 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Great! You’ve definitely improved from the last time
I didn’t even notice a single mistake, you rock! I tried to record a music fingerstyle guitar cover with my sensei, but due to stress I couldn’t finish my best take without mistakes. My hands were shaking and body didn’t listen to my commands. And you played the piece very calm like you didn’t stress about it at all. Very cool
Thank you! I do my best to not repeat the mistake from previous videos. My hand was very shaking too but I practiced this piece a lot, up to the point even if i am shaking, still unlikely to play wrong note. I admit I was very very stress when recording this piece because I had only 30 minutes to do it since I dont have a professional studio, there might be car horn anytime that could get in the record. The only way to reduce shaking is: Expose yourself as much as possible, get used to mistake, try your best to hide the mistake. There are a lot of mistake in this video but since you dont notice it, it means I succeeded at hiding it :D
@ wow. I hope I will improve gradually soon so I could share my music with you as well
This is the 7th piece that I recorded, also it's 7 month since I started learning to play Piano. Let me know if you enjoy it, any feedback is welcomed :) Also, I know this piece is a little controversy in East Asia region, but trust me, I meant no disrepect, just here to enjoy the music. Have a nice day!
why is this piece controversial? sorry i just honestly do not know :<
The original lyrics of this song and the uniform (which Hatsune Miku wears in the video) may remind some people about the world war 2. Well it’s a sensitive subject, so, some people dont like it, and that’s okay.
Wow I really love your version ! You are a truly fast learner congratulation keep going !
:) cheer up
where is sheet music!
Hi, I put the link in the description, please check :)
So gorgeous 🫶
I want to support you but unfortunately i dont have Paypal, can i use National bank? (I'm vietnamese)
Thank you, but just grab it for free :D You can support by subscribing and enjoy my piano covers 🫶
@ looking for more videos from you
Very cool sensei
Thank you, I am working on Antique Seraphim’s song but I doubt it will be done anytime soon though
Nice..👍
Glad you like it! 😊
Thank you.
If you are so good after 6 month, it is unbelievable how good will u be playing after 10 years ❤
I am self-taught so it is very hard for me to catch up with any other classically trained pianists though. Even with such disadvantage, my passion is the one keeping me moving forward. Thanks :)
@noirefield If you have an opportunity to get a teacher, I'd suggest you to get one. I am 2 year self taught guitarist and I started improving significantly only 3 months ago when I started taking lessons.
Very nice.
Thank you!
This is exactly what I'm looking for! im gonna try and sing it with this so wish me luck
Thanks and wish you will succeed :)
Violet Evergarden ❤❤❤❤
Your neighbors are lucky 😊
Keep it up, you can revive Violet from your piano
Thank you!
I started playing Piano 6 months ago, hope you like my playing. If yes, hit Like button. If no, feedback for improvement is always welcomed :) I have acknowledged some of mistakes I made and currently working on fixing: - Unclear voicing (melody is not very clear) - Uneven chord - Uneven tempo - Low dynamic range - Big tension in hands and pinky finger sometimes lifted up. - ...
The first part of the song was quite good though, I didn’t really notice any mistakes
@@noirefield bro how can you be so good in only 6 months? Im impressed
@@gurisensei I think adults like us can absolutely learn to play piano faster than kids. The key point is: We need to practice daily consistently, not missing a day. Even though I'm self-taught, but I highly recommend getting a piano teacher if you would like to start. Anyway, I am Vietnamese too, English or Vietnamese are both ok :)
@ im self-taught "pianist" too, but i practice inconsistently due to harsh schedule in university. Anyways, keep going, i love your videos
Just uploaded Senbonzakura Ballad Hope you like it :)
Is that a car horn at 16 sec? 😅nice video anyway :)
Sorry, I recorded this at my home (at the most quiet time as possible), I am not professional enough to have a soundproof room :D
It's a song that when I listen to it, I think of this anime scene until I cry without stopping.😂😂😂😂
Glad you like it :)
Thank you.
I decided to re-take this song after getting my piano tuned. Hope you like it, anyway, Merry christmas!

I decided to re-take this song after getting my piano tuned. Anyway, Merry Christmas!
i think it's really amazing to be able to play this with only 5 months. I've have been playing piano (self-taught) since february, around 10 months, practicing between 15-90 minute a day but i don't think i'm able to play this. any tips to improve my piano skills?, also i want to know how do you learn this piece, from ear, piano sheet, or synthesia?
Hi, I am also self-taught (basically I dont have time for a teacher even though I want to), but at least I can give you some advice. The biggest problem with self-taught is: You don’t know what to do next and may be you are having bad habit but you don’t realize it. My piano roadmap: 1. Learn piano basic (name of each key, middle c, weighted-key, r…) 2. Learn basic music theory (time signature, note value, beat, rhythms, chord, chord progression,…) 3. Practice technique - this is important (Learn to play scales with proper fingerings, correct body and hand postures, practice with finger exercises everyday like Czeny or Hanon) …. There are a lot of it but lets do from the most basic before advanced ones. You must always record yourself playing and then watch the video and see how good your hands were doing, this is how you can fix your bad habit without a teacher. Recommended resources: Find youtube channels (Jazer Lee, Piano Labs, Prof Kate Byod,…) and see their videos especially Jazer Lee) Let me know if you have more question :) Also in this video, my hands had high tension so don’t practice this song like me. About this song, I attached the sheet in the description and unfortunately there is no synthesia so I learn this piece by the sheet only. (Actually musescore has visual synthesia, you may check)
@@noirefield thank youu, i'll follow your advice. hope you will keep covering song in the future!!
Nice, subscribed, a bad acoustic piano is better than a good digital. At least it will have character and a non sterile sound.
Thanks! Actually even though the piano is like 51 years old it is not that bad, it was out of tune when I was recording this video. I didn’t expect it could go out of tune that fast (within just 4-5 months). I recorded this song twice, the second one is this video, the first one was few weeks before it, they are just different as the sound quality of first record is much better but too much mistake 🤪
Incredibly impressive, I absolutely adore Violet Evergarden, so I was so excited to see a new cover for it, you did a fantastic job. I am shocked that you have only been playing for 5 months, that is some serious dedication, I hope to hear more from you.
Thanks 🥰 Unfortunately the piano was out of tune at the time I recorded this video, otherwise the audio would be even better. I just didn’t expect the piano became out of tune that fast (within just 4-5 months)
It's very Nice !!!
Thank you!
Amazing 5 months?! bro you have talent! PS: for the next recordings id love to hear how you play with your piano fully tuned 😁
Thanks and wait, you could hear my Piano is out of tune? I just had the Piano tuned today because it has been half a year since it was tuned (the day I bought it) Very likely you got perfect pitch 👏
@@noirefieldoh fresh tuned piano makes sense it will set it self after a few days but yeah I’m looking forward for more covers
I finished learning the Violet Evergarden ED - Michishirube (TV Size version) and currently working on Senbonzakura (Ballad version) but I'm struggling with recording quality audio. Few pianists (Animenz, Fonzi M,...) I know, even though they use very expensive piano but they record in midi (digitally) and use VST to generate audio. Meanwhile I'm nowhere to figure out how to deal with low audio quality from a cheap microphone recording an old non-midi acoustic piano :D
@ I love Even Call and his soundtrack for violet evergarden a lot of my music is also influenced by him would love to hear some covers
absolutely amazing
Thank you 👍
Amazing! I have played the piano since I was young, but I never had the confidence to create and upload content. So i thk, Really Cool your Courage and the Passion put in while uploading your content !! I'm soooo looking forward to seeing your growth after 5 months more! Please enjoy the music in keep doing it !
Thanks! I think uploading video to the public will help (even a bit) to overcome the performance anxiety. I do have performance anxiety too, even though I managed to stay calm in the video but my technique went bad :D (tension in hand, flying pinky, unstable tempo,..) I built this channel as a music library of my own covers so I can listen to them anytime. Even though I am fully aware that there are tons of Sincerely piano covers which are very much better in terms of arrangement, audio quality but I absolutely didn’t expect this video could get 2k+ views :)
Hey there, great video! May I ask how you studied in order to play the song? Have you got any sheets for this anime intro or did you learn by youtube? Help is much appreciated! -Clem
Hi Clem, if you learn to play Piano, you could basically read sheet music and play any song you like (as long as that song is not too difficult for your level). For this song, I just read the sheet and start practicing while making sure I have good fingering and necessary technique (Octave, pedaling, jumping,...). And yes there is a sheet for this song, I put the sheet's link in the video description, please take a look :) This is an early-intermediate level arrangement (I think). Therefore, if you are completely new to Piano, this song may be difficult for you to start with, as you may injure your hands. Piano is a long journey with no ending, grab a piano and start taking lessons, you can do it.
@@noirefieldthank you so much for your comprehensive answer! I will follow your advice! Keep up the good work!!❤
If you don't like my playing, sorry for wasting your time :) and...if you like it? Hit the like button too :) Just started piano 5 months ago and this video is one of my piano exercises. I have a full-time job but I'll try to spend a bit of time improving my piano technique everyday.
