Im a chimney novice, and we have bought a house where we don’t have the Chimneys sealed at all. What is that curved concrete part on the top? How can i search for this part or someone to do it for me? What do you call it?

Did you use the additive Akkro-7t in the Tamoseal? What happens if you don’t. Our supply company told us they don’t use it or sell it??..

Tamoseal should handle it if the cracks are not very wide.

Great video! I've got some minor cracks on the vertical surface of the crown and chips on the edge of the crown. Should I fill them in with concrete / something else or will tamoseal take of that?

Don't you have to cover the roof and aluminum flashing with a tarp or cardboard?

What's the best way to do cleanup of all the mortar around the chimney without damaging/discoloring the roof? Did you hose it off before it dried? Did you let it dry first? Shopvac?

Hey Cliff, would you recommend using Tamoseal on the side of a chimney, I have a cement masonry coating over the blocks. I want to really seal it up. When replacing the crown do you install a barrier between the concrete and the brick or just bond them together? Other videos stress concern about different materials expansion and contraction. Thanks
